Very Nice In The Right Setting

I purchased this vehicle because my wife has MS(Multiple Sclerosis) and thought that it might make mobility easier for her. It Does Not, at least at this time. I plan to modify it to make it more flexible for her to use. If you have issues with strength in your legs, this item may not be right for you. The Foot Rest Area Is Not Long Enough At The Front and The Seat Not Wide Enough To Support Her From Falling Over, Even At The Lowest Setting. I am looking to change these 2 issues. Also The Handle Bars Are Too High To Support Her Size At The Lowest Setting, another thing I plan to change... If Anyone Out There, Including Camping World or Zappy Has Any Suggestions, I Am Open To Them. I Plan To Keep The Vehicle So I Will Need To Adjust A Few Things. Other Than These Issues, I am happy with the item and sometimes use to for myself to retrieve the mail or visit the neighbors down the road.

Does not do well on loose gravel as found in several campgrounds. Diggs in in soft sand, and if you are on a slope it may roll backwards. Fast and smooth on driveways and Hard Trails.

We bought this for my Dad who has trouble getting around. He felt a little insecure on it, so we bought a bicycle seat back for it. Now he feels much more secure. My husband and I love to take it for a spin on a hot day to cool off. We are taking it on a trip this weekend and my Dad will use it. I'm looking forward to it...it fits in the back of our car perfectly and is easy to get in an out (with 2 people). It's not super heavy.

I've had my Zappy 3 for about 6 months, and it is great! A full charge lasts forever, but I only ride it for maybe 2 (or less) miles a day. I charge it maybe every 2 or 3 weeks. When charge gets below a full indication (3 lights out of 4) you'll want to charge it again, because the power will drop off noticeably when going up any grade. It is peppy, you have to have a gentle touch on the throttle when starting out, or you will peel rubber, or fall off. I'm a full time RVer and everyone at the campgrounds wants to know about it. I like it best using the seat, just feels a bit safer to me than standing on it. It could use a speedometer and a parking brake to make it perfect. And since it can't get wet, they should sell a cover for it. A riding lawnmower cover has worked well for me. It is well made, sturdy, heavy enough to make it stable, and goes faster than I ever want to go. I've only had it up to half speed (maybe 5 or 6 MPH) and that is more than fast enough for me. Lots of fun. I don't recommend this for gravel roads, it is really for a fairly smooth surface. I ride on some semi- rough asphalt all the time without any problem, but feel a bit unsure of it when on some loose cinder rock or on un-level ground (the lawn or campground grassy areas). Hitting a hole or tree root could send you flying off it. Sidewalks and most paved roads are a easy to navigate safely with a light touch on the throttle. With the provided tool kit, you can disassemble it into 3 pieces and they fit nicely in the back seat area of my extra cab pick-up. It is not real easy to disassemble and put back together, but not all that tough either. Would be easier if I had a partner to help hold it while aligning the bolts. Buy it, but wait to assemble until you can keep it dry under cover.
