I have a 2015 Jayco travel trailer, 23MB model. I am having a tough time finding a lock to secure the coupler due to it's design. According to the dealer, I'm not the only one. The rim on my hitch is 4 1/2 inches wide from edge to edge. 3/4 inch from the front back to the start of the ball area. would the 72711 coupler lock fit this hitch.
According to your measurements, it sounds like this product will fit your coupler.

With the square edges sticking out it appears it would be easy to make a strong hit on it with a sledgehammer. Has this possibility been tested?
The manufacturer tested this versus sledgehammers and had no issues at all with it holding up to punishment.
