Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just in Time for a Power Outage Got the chance to use the generator today , A transformer blew up this morning shutting down our entire street , I bought it because of all the issues you have with ethanol gasoline in storage of all gas powered motors , I wanted another source , The Propane Power appealed to me and it works great , very quite . the small propane cylinder runs 3 hours or the large BBQ Grill Tank runs 60 hours ! But today i used the small tank to power up two LED lights while our power was off ! I carry this little generator with me in my truck tool box, just for this type of situation .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not super quiet as advertised. It's not as quiet as the advertising leads you to believe. But, it's a generator after all, so should've been expected.

What are the altitude limits for unit safety and performance operation? For example 4500 - 6000 ft.

Asked by: Bud A
For altitude limits, for every 1000' above sea level you may lose as much as 3% power. Safety is the same at any altitude. According to the manufacturer, the propane units seem to work better than the gas in freezing and high altitudes than the gasoline units.

Can this run off of the low pressure propane exterior port of my RV or does it require high pressure?

Asked by: Craig
This generator has an onboard regulator so the propane has to be fed directly from the bottle. According to the manufacturer, there are plans to add a bypass out valve so that this generator can run on low pressure.
