I purchased this anode since my heater didn't have one originally,and I wanted to help
protect the tank from corrosion.It installed fairly easily,with the right tools and comes
with a drain valve for winterizing.The magnesium will help with electrolsis since the
tank is aluminum.Should help to prolong tank life and good operation.

I purchased this item along with my order for a friend. I also installed the rod. Like my
own Non Drain Anode, its easy to install. The only thing I don't like about this Anode is the
drain and that in no way detracts from the quality, only personal opinion. I like to remove
the rod to flush the tank with a hose.
