After a couple years I'm disappointed with this toilet.
The bowl is too shallow, the flush is poor, rather than the
much improv...ed flush advertised. I do a lot of cold camping
and can't afford the amount of water that would be required
with the extra hose attachment. The china makes wiping it
out a little easier, but don't count on the flush
advertised. You will not get anything close to 100 percent
water coverage in that bowl during flush.
The seat height is OK, but the design makes it uncomfortable.
Been using these RV toilets for thirty years or more. Was
This replacement toilet was an excellent value and easy to install. The china bowl and ADA height make it a great addition to my 5...th wheel. A PVC 1/2 street ell was necessary to connect to my existing supply line.
Have had camper only 3 years. Camped only a total of 12 weeks and already foot lever fell off onto floor of camper. Very poor wor...kmanship! I tried to talk to Thetford and they never got back to me after I missed their first call, so I called them back and left a message and they never got back to me. Just wish foot lever had bolt pivot in it to hold it on, but it is what it is, just plastic snapping together. Also, we have no children so it was not man handled either.
I checked online and the system said there were two in stock at the local store near Denver. After driving an hour to get
to the ...store there were none in stock. I was told that the quickest way to get one was to order it online with free shipping. I ordered one online in the bone color, but the
one that arrived was white. I didn't want to mess around anymore, so we kept the white one.
Well built, nice looking unit, but a major disappointment that the flush water flow does NOT cover even nearly 100% of the bowl. O...ne of the major reasons to upgrade from plastic is to get an easy, self cleaning bowl.
Bought a new seat when purchasing toilet but I am tired of cleaning up urine on the floor as there is no rim to stop urine from co...ming over the front of the toilet! Definitely needs a rim around the top under the seat.
This came installed on my 2013 Winnebago Vista. Shortly after purchase and use, I had to have the seal replaced under warranty. It... leaked again out of warranty and I had it replaced again. Now, on a two month trip and it is leaking again. I would not purchase this toilet again with only a one year warranty with the problem of a leaking seal.
I ordered this toilet by E-mail and it arrived very quickly, plus free shipping! With
Camping Worlds PC price plus a $35.00 r...ebate from Thetford, this toilet cost me half of
the price quote that I got from a local RV supplier. The toilet looks great, works
great, and was easy to install. The only drawback is that the bowl is the only part that is
made of china, the rest is plastic.
We contacted Camping World to order the toilet & told them
we had an existing Thetford toilet model Aurora. They
said they c...ould not find that model but was sure the new
Aqua Magic II would replace the Aurora. It would not work
because the bolt pattern to mount the toilet was different.
The literature said it was 3 higher than their other
toilets but it was only about1 higher than the existing
one. We are going to try & return it.
This was a replacement for an aqua magic Aurora that had a broken water valve and leaky blade seal that failed to contain sewer sm...ell so I got this as a replacement. I selected this because it has a wider bowl and is as tall as a residential one. Was easy to replace, but had to modify the water supply connection. Seems well built but plastic base has me uneasy about sturdiness.
Pros: Easy to clean, Perfect replacement, Foot flush, Efficient operation

It has two flush modes. One mode you press the flush pedal part way to fill bowl with water the second mode you press the flush pedal all the way for a full flush mode.
How much I'm not certain toilets with tanks and a water saver usually use between ~1.3 and 1.6 gallons. RV toilets normally use less water than a tank toilet, unless you keep holding the flush lever down.
So this one you can hold the flush lever part way without flushing and hold the flush lever all the way to full flush. If you need to fill the bowl all the way up or keep holding down the flush lever "full flush" you would be using more water.

The amount of water used in this toilet will depend on how long the flush lever is held down, and will range from as little as 1 cup up to a full gallon.
