Aqua magic v
I had to buy this toilet while we were traveling near Salt Lake City. I purchased this item in the Draper, Utah Camping World store on Aug 12, 2016. After installation it would not hold water in the bowl. This brand new unit did not have the blade seal installed. I had to buy a blade seal in Phoenix. I was not impressed with the completeness of this new product. This omission required the toilet to be removed to install the blade seal.

Easy RV Toilet Replacement
Replaced a Thetford hand flush with the same type foot flush unit in a 2013 Salem. Install was quick, simple and clean. Removed old unit and installed new unit in under 30 minutes.
All hook-ups matched perfectly since it was the same unit with different flush system.
Came with all hardware needed for install and hand sprayer already attached.
Unit earned 5 stars for appearance, comfort, performance, ease of install and overall quality.
Purchased at Camping World located in Surfside Beach SC. Excellent customer service.
I installed this unit while in the campground, taking the chance that I might have problems,
but there were no issues what so ever and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our trip
with a foot flush instead of the hand flush that came with our unit. We just prefer the foot
flush type. We definitely recommend this product if you need a foot flush toilet.

Replacing a 10 year Old Toilet with a New One
The old blade rubber seal was not holding a water seal. After reviewing videos; I installed the new toilet and a height extender base. This will require a water supply line modification. BE SMART! RV suppliers are expert at PEX tubing connections; see them for help/connections. The new toilet is the same as the old.

Also what is height of lower one?

Thetford toilet hookups
Will the Aqua Magic V replace the Aqua Magic Galaxy-Starlight, Model gh-gl-sh-sl without any plumbing revisions, the one with the pedal flush in the front and the water hookup in the rear. This needs to go in a unit that is a 1992 model travel supreme.
Yes, an Aqua-Magic V can replace a Galaxy-Starlight. Both models use the same 1/2" NPT fittings for water.

The thetford website claims the distance from the wall to the mounting bolts is 7 5/8. You state that the dimension is 11. Which is correct?
I am trying to replace a thetford hand flush toilet. There is only 7 5/8 to the wall.
7-5/8" is from center of floor flange to back of the toilet, shown on the front page for this toilet (http://www.thetford.com/HOME/Products/PermanentToilets/AquaMagicVFootPedalFlushwandwoWaterSa/tabid/106/Default.aspx). In the installation manual, clearance from center of floor flange to the wall behind the toilet should be 11" (measurement "e" on page 4 of the manual, linked under technical specs).
