Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Heater For the Price This unit was very easy to install. If fit the the existing opening that was there from the previous water heater. Once installed it fired right up. less than 30 minutes later I had 135F water. The outside door that came with the unit is a little flimsy, but the unit itself appears to be well made. Camping World had it delivered to me by standard shipping in 3 days!! Had it in and working in ~ 40 minutes

gch6aa-9e

If not concerned with 120v operation can I replace gch6aa-9e with 8 e model ?
Asked by: Curt
If you want to drop the Electric Heating Element but keep Electronic Ignition, <https://www.campingworld.com/atwood-water-heater-6-gal-lp-with-dsi>SKU#3690(G6A-8E) is recommended. SKU#3688(GC6AA-8) is still an LP/Electric Element combination but missing Electronic Ignition. Use SKU#3687(G6A-7) if you want LP without Electric Ignition and Heating Element. The pilot has to be manually lit on a G6A-7.

What is the DSI that this #3688 unit does not have?

My original unit is the GC6AA9E
Asked by: Gary
The current version of a GC6AA-9E is the GC6AA-10E and can only be obtained for a OEM dealer such as an RV dealership. We retail aftermarket products, the closest direct replacement we have for this unit is a SKU#25551, model# GCH6A-10E, which has the same features plus Heat Exchange.

i have a gc6aa-9e what is it replacement

Asked by: greg
Direct replacement of a GC6AA-9E is a GC6AA-10E which is only sold as an OEM unit thus would have to go to your RV manufacturer or authorized dealership that can order/sell OEM parts. The closest we have as an aftermarket model is a GCH6A-10E which we have listed as item# 25551. Or step up to a 10 gallon model GC10A-4E, item# 54159, which can be ordered by Sales @ 888.626.7576 as it is not listed on our website.
