My RV is 9 years old and I had 4 Baggage door latches break at once while on a trip. When I returned home I ordered 10 door latche...s from Camping World. When they arrived I found 2 more latches had broken. I replaced all 6 in less than 30 minutes. These latches are very easy to replace. If you can use a screw driver you can install them.
it took no time at all to recive the two locks I ordered (about 3 days) Not knowing how to install them I started out ,took about ...30 min to due the first one , 10 min to do the second
one. They work great, easy to install. highly reamened them.
This picture looks different from my 2004 Georgie Boy Fleetwood coach bay door latches. Mine has exterior body with lift handle to open. Drops into door and is held in by four screws through a metal, plate inside, door.
Item# 49566 is only part of the latch assembly. The hand latch and striker plates are OEM and have to be obtain from an appropriate dealer. This product attaches to the back of the handle as you have described.
