Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design. I bought this as an easier way to spool my reels however, I got just the opposite. The attachment for the spinning reels needs some sort of bearing. I used the provided drill shaft and a low speed drill and the attachments just melted together and are now unusable. The shaft for the line is entirely too small. The line tensioner breaks apart and leaves little bits of rubber or plastic all over the line. It also moves around like crazy, I would suggest possibly more rubber feet or suction cups on the bottom to prevent this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Style Portable Line Spooling Station This spooling station is poorly engineered. The diameter of the rod that holds the spool of line is way too small. The small diameter rod allows the spool of line to bounce around and move up and down the rod shaft. It’s very hard to keep tension on the line as it spools onto your reel. I would not recommend this spooling station.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea but should be more sturdy I bought this due to the ability to spool spinning reels via a drill motor. The idea is great but the mechanism is not strong enough. I had to reglue part of it after only a few reels. It would also be nice if you could buy just that part instead of having to purchase a complete unit. I would be willing to pay more if it was better built. Spooling a casting reel works great and that part is very sturdy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Concept I like the new line spooling system, especially the spinning reel capability. Only problem is that is hard to try and hold the unit down, turn the handle and guide the line on to the reel all at the same time. Maybe some way to allow the unit to be secured to a piece of wood or a workbench. Also, my old Berley Spooling station came with a battery powered line stripper. You might want to consider working that capability into the design.. Other than that it is a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money dont even bother with this product. The spool tension bar rubber pad rubs off onto your line. There's no line laying mechanism for spinning reels. Very cheesy construction. I'll stick with putting my spool on a pencil

Rated 1 out of 5 by from PORTABLE LINE SPOOLER It is not easy to use at all... The base slides while you are trying to crank the handle and guide the line...So you are doing 3 things at once...Not recommended..Im returning product to store..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice concept, needs improvements to work properly! The aluminum shaft for the line spools is too small. The smaller line spools [150/300] will turn left or right and not stay straight facing the reel's spool. Added locking collars from the other model seem to help this problem. On smaller spinning reels when trying to feed the line to the base of the spools gets caught on the rubber stops. Modifying stops height seemed to help this problem some.
