Abit Heavy and Needy
The base unit (kettle, burn chamber and battery) weight about 3.08 lbs. I really like how compact the unit is but I feel that Biolite could reduce the weight if the used titanium or some much lighter than stainless steel. If they did I know the price would go up but if you are like me you would still buy it.
What I mean by needy is the unit works best with hard wood. But where I backpack all there is is pine which burns up quick so I have to have a stake of sticks ready. This also creates another issue where the burn chamber fill up with ash when using for a long period.

Love it!!
I have the original and love it. I mean like really love it. And every time I use it hiking or camping people are amazed how well it works and generates electricity, all while cooking your hot dogs!! I have other gas stoves that may be lighter and quicker, but none generate electricity and are as much fun to use. Plus when I use the grill attachment you get a very tasty flavor to the meats and vegetables you are cooking. My old stove has been working great for years. I wish it would break so I can justify buying the new one!!!!! LOL

Just amazing
I first have to say i own everything biolite has to offer….compared to other stoves i own…this one is far the best….if you are using sticks as kindle….it smokes a lot at first then smokes goes away once it s gets going…..if you don’t want to keep feeding it wood…i wold suggest pellets….one handful of hard wood food grade…i boil 1 litre of water and one full meal for myself….it s the cooling down period that takes the longest….I suggest to empty the stove as quickly as possible when finished….then cooking down takes less time….if you keep the wood inside….it takes forever

Worth every penny
I looked at these for a while but was in a low paid job and didn't have the money, I got one eventually for my birthday though about 3 years ago and it's just fantastic! It works so well and is such a good idea. You're not going to be running all manner of devices off it but it keeps your phone going so it can be used if needs be and that's all you need really. I got the grill attachment and that is brilliant too. I find that it works great with wood pellets (wood pellet cat litter is very cheap!) I would recommend to anyone and can't wait to get out there with it this year!

Amazing
I'm impressed. Although you have to keep an eye on it and feed it like any fire, I put the campstove 2+ to its first test a couple of weeks ago. It boils water and cooks meals like a champion, literally on the strength of its built-in fan and wood matter I easily scrounged up from the forest floor. I haven't tried it during a rainy day - or after a rain - and would probably recommend some kind of firestarter/wood pellet combo for such events. All in all though, not only does it work great, it's really, really, fun. If you're a first-time camper who is still getting the hang of cooking over an open gas flame, this might not be for you - yet. But the whole family loved it and it's a great conversation piece too!!

Smokeless fire
Great product!
Used this fire pit many times over the last few years. I have never been disappointed with the operation.
Before purchasing I thought that it was quite pricy but now after years of use I see the value.
I highly recommend this fire pit to all outdoor oriented families!

Stove 2
I had the BioLite product for years. Have almost all the accessories as well, like the versatility and the technology of them. Is great the have light and cooking capacity as well. Good product. Also great that we’re able to help other people with the technology that the products provide. I definitely recommend the products. I have the stove 1, this is up the new improved stove 2. I have not try it yet, looks great. I am sure is great as well. Good work!

Unbelievably Tough Battery
Going into year 10 i believe. I was on the waiting list for the original bio-lite.
Due to laziness and a knee injury i hadnt taken it out if the bag in 3 years. Accidentally hit the power button while i was cleaning it today and it turned on! 3 years without a boost and its still holding a charge. Incredible!
