does the blackstone 17" tabletop griddle hook up directly with a line fron a regular propane tank rather than a small canister

Asked by: Byron
You definitely need to buy an adaptor hose. If you have space to keep a 20# tank, it's worth getting and using them. You'll probably use at least 1 1# tank just to season the griddle properly. I'm in a Facebook group for Blackstone owners, and I've seen many complain about how fast they go through the 1# tanks, sometimes having to change during the cook. The 20# tanks are refillable and are probably more cost effective. However, it really depends on how often and how much you will cook on it and whether you have the space to store a 20# (especially if in a camper or RV). I know some RV people in the group have been able to hook theirs up to the RV propane tank (convertor may be needed). I honestly love my 36" even though it's just hubby and me. I can set up zones of different temps to cook multiple items at the same time. I love cooking fajitas and stir fry on it as opposed to stove and skillet. Right now I'm looking for something more portable than the 36" to take to my in-laws (and might leave it there).

Is the gridle permanently attached or does it come apart for easier cleaning?

Asked by: Phil
The cooking surface can be removed from the main part of the grill. It is quite heavy, but can be removed for cleaning.
