I hooked mine to a quick disconnect on my camper it just barely had a flame.do I need a different regulator.

Asked by: Slem
The primary modification to do on the grill is to remove the regulator. An RV's exterior quick connect line is low pressure(already regulated by the RV's onboard propane regulator). So the regulator provided by the grill manufacturer must be removed. If Blackstone's regulator has been removed but flame is still too low. According to the manufacturer FAQ, you can try the air gate adjustment. Each burner has an air gate to control the air to gas ratio. There is a tiny silver screw that you can loosen and a metal gate that you can slide open or losed. It is recommended to start at half closed. Once you find the setting you like you can tighten the screw and it will stay like that. If the grill regulator is removed, the air gate adjustment has been done, and there are no gas leaks, but flame is still low. Please contact Blackstone Customer Service @ (434)252-3030 ext#1 for further assistance as at that point it sounds like there may be an issue with the grill.

I currently have a gas grill that connects to a LP quick connect under my travel trailer which is supplied by my two 20 lb tanks. Can I connect this Grill/Griddle to this quick connect?

Asked by: Curtis
From the factory, this grill/griddle combo has an attached hose and regulator for direct connection to a 20# propane tank. The hose and regulator can be removed, so it is possible to modify this grill/griddle for RV low pressure quick connect. We are not able to provide any specifics on how to complete this conversion.
