Is this jack universal , can I install this on a 2013 crossroads elevation
This powered tongue jack is universal in application. You will need to double check the diameter of the hole on the trailer tongue to verify if the 2-1/4" diameter of the jack can fit. As well as refer to the specs of your camper if the jack meets or exceeds the tongue weight of your trailer.

I have a trailer with the only power as the plug in to the vehicle, at the hitch area. How much electronics work does it take to connect to the electrical system? Should I hire a trailer company to draw the wires/electricity to the crank?
The installation instructions only refer to 2 leads from the jack and a built in circuit breaker which means minimal work. You can wire the jack directly to a standalone 12v battery. Or terminate your tongue jack by using an appropriate 4(round/flat), 6, or 7 pin trailer plug to connect to the towing wire harness from your tow vehicle to provide power. These two methods will avoid having to splice directly to a trailers electrical or tow vehicle.

Use a professional installer if not confident in wiring the tongue jack to a power source.
