Rated 4 out of 5 by from Might be too heavy for fiberglass camper Grill fell off camper rail on side of camper, damaging grill. I returned to Camping World for full refund and purchased a different style grill. We received a message from the manufacturer (Camco) concerned about our recent problem with their grill and I gave them the details of how it was hung from our camper and what I felt the problem was. They offered to send us a brand new grill with all accessories (including their hanging rail) and their engineering department will try to figure out how to fix the problem. We are overwhelmed with their Customer Service and are very pleased to get the SS grill back, as we loved how it operated. Camping World has great Customer Service, but this manufacturer has the best customer service we have ever dealt with!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic grill for two I’ve used my grill for two seasons and it has worked great. Personally I just don’t like the idea of having a hot grill mounted on the side of my 5th wheel so the fold out legs are great for setting it on a table. I did have a longer lp hose made up which allows me to adjust grill locations depending on camp site arrangement. I’ve had no problems with the igniter and the grill heats up evenly - to as much as 600*f. The temp control knob does allow me to cook at low temps as well with no problems. My only issue with the grill is that I wish they would make one a bit larger, cooking for 4 to 6 people on a grill this small is challenging, hence my rating - but great for two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good grill I have used this grill mounted on the side of our class A motor home for several years and love the way it cooks. The down side is the cooking grate which is not stainless steel. We winter in Florida and things rust here real bad. The grate got so rusty I couldn't clean it and couldn't get a replacement so I had a local firm build me one of the exact dimensions and spacing out of stainless steel. It was spendy but worth every cent as it is now very easy to clean. The only other problem I've had is the spark button doesn't work so I use a propane lighter. I will buy another when needed and use my old grate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Portable BBQ Ever I consider myself to be a master BBQ'er, in fact, nearly every night I am cooking something good on the BBQ. That doesn't change while on the road either. I have cooked more than 200 dinners on this grill and have NEVER cooked on a better portable BBQ. Cooking excellent seafood on any BBQ is particularly challenging, but this BBQ has the most even heat of any BBQ, large or small I have ever cooked on. The grill spacing is excellent, so even very flakey fish doesn't fall through, The way the flame shield is designed, the flame is distributed evenly, even in extremely high winds, something most portable BBQ's fail at. Cleaning is a breeze, the removable drip tray is easy to remove, clean and replace. This grill is a WINNER!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Little Grill That Can I purchased this grill about a year ago for use on my Class C RV. When I took the grill out of the box it was missing the latch, but I called the manufacturer's customer service line and they sent one out at no cost (I was very happy with their customer service). The bracket fit perfectly on the existing rail for mounting on the side of the RV. It cooks evenly for the most part and is just the right size where it takes up minimal space, but yet large enough where I can easily cook burger, brats, steaks, etc. for my family of five. It's a bit expensive at full price, but worth it if you can get it on sale!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not so fast I purchased this grill for my RV, and immediately attached it to my hot dog cart. (I owned a couple hot dog stands) and as with some of the other reviews, the welds are the only source of weakness for this product. I used it 6 hours a day for 9 months and this unit cooked faster and better than any grill I have ever had. To clean it...spray it with easy-off ..wait 10 min. and rinse off with water hose..great product! by the way, the igniter works well, it's just that the flame is so small (almost clear) at first, you dont think it has ignited, just press it a few times and have the gas on High to ignite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy assembly, quickly heats up, easy to mount on RV This grill is great. It is worth the money. I had it assembled in less than ten minutes. In another ten minutes, I was grilling hot dogs for the kids. I love the way it hangs on the side of the RV and connects to the quick connect. No more small propane bottles for me. I also like the stand that allows you to set up on a table. This will come in handy when I'm grilling greasy foods like chicken. I would imagine that all that smoke and flare would not be good for the side of the RV. Anyway, this grill is very versatile and well built. I recommend this grill to anyone who wants or likes simplicity. P.S. The camper that had trouble with their Olympian 5500 on this comment section must have bought a defective one. I have experienced nothing to the like of their comments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Grill This is a great little grill! I bought it to replace the anemic little grill that came with my Keystone Passport travel trailer. This grill fits on the grill rail on the trailer and the hose (included) fit the low pressure gas system already installed on the TT. It heats up very quickly and gets very hot (which you need to watch out for). It also works very well as a table top grill that i connect to the trailer gas with a longer hose.

i had a flame king rv grill and stand will the camco fit the rv stand i have seen videos showing the camco ss 5500 on the same stand as my flame king but when i go to order the grill it doesnt look like they use the same stand now.

Asked by: nate
The Olympian 5500 made before 2014 used the same type of bracket as used by your Flame King. Camco changed the design so that the 5500 grill made in 2014 and after use the mounted listed as SKU#69355. If you would like a low pressure grill with the same type of mounting bracket/stand as the Flame King, please see the grills listed as SKU#90198, #116815, or #95643
