Rated 1 out of 5 by from Camco heated hose Hose looks great I had it delivered up to Yakima where my granddaughter is going to College. I had a 40 lb water regulator which I have always used no matter where I was. The hose leaked immediately when water was turned on the end came right off. My daughter was going up the next weekend so we purchased another hose the same make from Mike's RV in Klamath Falls. When she got there she put the new hose on same results leaked immediately. Luckily she was able to find an RV parts store their so she purchased another one different brand this time and it has been working fine for the last 2 weeks. I will be calling you about getting my refund.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leak free for only one year. And the warranty is for one year. We winter in Texas and only see a few freezes - it is great not having to disconnect and reconnect at those times. Our first winter was problem free. The hose was stored all summer. Come the second winter the backside of a swivel above the washer was leaking. Changing the washer didn't help and I regulate pressure to a max of 40psi (not a cheap regulator either). I ended up applying multiple winds of water sealing tape. The RV park owner uses a reverse osmosis water system so the water is great and included in the charge. But he is understandably also pretty fussy about a continual leak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great so far I have used the 25 ft. Hose for a couple months now. Not dead of winter yet, but many days freezing or below freezing temps at night. This hose is working perfectly and as I had hoped. Even better. Funny, one way I know it is working besides having running water is that the first water out of the cold faucet is a little warmer than skin temp. I don't even have to go look at the power light on the plug. I would recommend this product based upon my experience so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frozen hose I have already replaced one hose when it wasn't even 20 days old due to it freezing at about 21 degrees. Now I have to take this one back at just 19 days old today because it has frozen up also at 20 degrees! The only reason that I will be getting one more is because I am in a bind and need water. As soon as spring comes, I will be taking this terrible water hose back and I will never buy this product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it The first time I hooked up this hose, it leaked profusely where the electrical cord enters the hose. I contacted Camping World and although I was well within the 90 day return period, all they would do is refer me to Camco. Both Camco and Camping World deserve zero stars on this product. I have yet to hear back from Camco, but I think the only good use for this hose is a trash can filler. I will think long and hard about ordering from Camping World again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hose Poor Quality Bought this hose in September 2020. Didn't get a chance to use it until April of 2021. Hose didn't leak for about 3 weeks. One end started leaking and about 3 days later the other ens started leaking. Both leaks about 1 foot from the end of the hoses. We are in Wyoming @ about 6500 ft. elevation, the coldest it got at night was about 10* above zero. The store where we bought the hose was Gander RV in Baxter, MN 56425. The store personnel said the hose only had a 60 day warranty. They refused to replace it and gave us a $40.00 store credit when we paid $200.00 for the hose new. Poor Warranty - Poor in store service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessity for fall or winter campers I have done fall camping for the first time this year and have had several nights that have had below freezing temperatures. Works great. Only drawback is the cord is only 6 ft long and can create problems if water and electrical box are furter apart.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality, Poor design Seems to be made of quality materials, and the foam sleeve is a nice idea. However, the designers really messed up when they put the temperature sensor on the OPPOSITE end of the hose from the electrical plug. The instructions recommend that you ensure that the sensor is near the water source and not next to the camper. Well, the water source is also where the electrical outlet will be, so if the sensor needs to be there, then the electrical plug also needs to be there, not at the opposite end of the hose where they put it. So, you must run an extension cord from the plug to the outlet, in order to keep the sensor there as well. Come on guys - not very well thought out.

Is the thermostat replaceable? Which end is the thermostat on? Is the electrical cable inside the same as "Heat Trace Cable"?

Asked by: thenderson4
I’ve used the hose for two years without any problem with it whatsoever. The thermostat is on the same end as the plug. I’m not sure what heat trace cable is so o can’t answer that one! Good luck!
