WREX thinks the Gen-turi is great
Actually, the Gen-turi works just as expected:
Depending on the height of your exhaust connect point, most units
should add the 18 extension, which is available at CAMCO's website
(you CAN order it there) to ensure proper venting above the roofline.
I also use the Gen-turi to vent the exhaust from my tankless hot water
system (I had a muffler shop 'stretch' me a fitting FOR FREE!).
I did mount u-hooks on the coach side to stabilize the unit and, so long
as you properly seal them, they work perfectly. (Those who are afraid
to put a few screws in the side wall should remember their awnings,
etc. are mounted with screws...)

Quite and Safe
I've used this product for over 5 years - I go to alot of NASCAR races and the sites are
very close - I've had fellow campers make comments their generators make more
noise than mine and mine is right next to their door. It also gets the fumes up and
away from under the RV and away from neighbors. I didn't want to secure the straps
which hold the exhaust system against the RV so I bought some car dent pullers
(small suction cups) and I attach the straps to the suction cups. I can remove them
from the RV when I'm not using and only place them on the RV when I need them.
Again great product.

A must for tailgating RVers!
For anyone with a season parking pass to football games or other
events where RVs are packed tightly together and hours are spent
tailgating, this device makes the experience much more enjoyable. I
have recommended it to the organizing entity, who will pass the info
along to my tailgating neighbors when their parking passes are
distributed.
You do have to check on it occasionally as mine has fallen down a
couple times...not the most solid of installations... but satisfactory
given the temporary nature of the application.

No more exhaust stink
This is a great kit, carrying bag, parts go together well. I used it with the suction cup mounts that Camping World also sells. I ended up moving the connection bungees to the middle pipe and clamping the suction cup to the bottom pipe. While my Sprinter is not smelly at all the diesel generator is pretty bad. This vents it up up and away! There may have been some reduction in noise, but I did not measure that. Every install is going to be different, however, in my case I am able to do the suction cups on the flat wall exposed when the slider is extended. I would be cautious using the suction cups on the main body without washing with water each time as you could wear a suction cup circle if there is dirt on the surface.

It works!
We had a problem with generator fumes entering the motorhome, it was so bad it would actually set off the Co sensor.
Installing the Genturi took care of that problem and as an added bonus, no more fumes permeate our campsite as well.
Easy to install and take down and stores in its own duffle type bag.
I attempted to make one, after a few tries it proved to be fruitless.
Instead of drilling the side of the MH for the support brackets, i was able to support the tube with a bungie cord hooking it onto the bay.
(the large PVC tube does not get that hot).

Generator exhaust system
Although the product appears to do everything the advertising says it will and the installation was straight forward enough, I did find once I pulled everything out of the package that the second pip was cracked. This was something that could only have happened in shipping as was most likely the result of a heavier package being placed on top of it.. I was able to repair it and am hopeful that once we have had a chance to us it will find it to be what we need to keep piece with our neighboring campers.

Works great but...
Installed easy and worked great...the second time around. The first one was not built properly and had to be sent back. The return and credit to my account went without a
hitch. This also could be extended another 12 inches to clear the top of my motorhome
and I had to place some material between the pipe and the coach to keep it from
rubbing. The pipe was only warm to touch so this was not a problem. Gen-turi should
consider adding an extension and the material to make this a complete package.

Do you need a vent cover of some type on top of the pipe in the event of rain so water does not get into the generator?
A cover is not necessary at the top of the exhaust pipe since the kit is not completely sealed like a automotive vertical exhaust stack. A flapper/rain cap can be self installed if wanted, an automotive parts store is likely to carry this type of product.

Can this also be used on my furnace in my 5th wheel as I live in my 5th wheel year round and it is completely enclosed now inside a carport I already have the holding tanks vented through the roof of the carport just need to vent the furnace yet
This exhaust venting kit has potential to be used with an RV furnace, but it will require custom modification to attach the Gen-Turi to the furnace vent as there are not ready to use adapters for this setup.

Will this work on a Aqua Hot exhaust system?
It is recommended that Aqua-Hot be consulted with since there are specific guidelines to how the exhaust system is installed. Aqua-Hot: Contact Page

My exhaust vent in on the right side under my awning
How can this be installed when the awning is in the way.
You may need to modify the generator exhaust pipe enough to put the 'Gen-turi' on. Either have an exhust/muffler shop assist with this or go to a hardware/automotive store were you can purchase pre-bent piping or extensions to alter the location of were your generator exhaust is piping out.

hook and rivets
I traded motor home and I need the little hooks and rivets to attach the strap to the MH. Where can I get those?
Individual parts or transfer kits can be ordered at 1-800-622-6264 (M-F, 8a-5p CST) or at the service counter in any of our retail locations.

How does it attach to generator? How long?
Does it reduce noise?
This attaches to your generator's exhaust pipe. The Genturi has an overall length of 120". It does not act as a muffler, no.
Date published: 2019-03-08
How is the weight distributed? Does it hang on the tail pipe hangar or does the vertical section holder carry weight? How heavy is it?
The weight is partially supported by the exhaust pipe and partially supported by the hanger that gets installed on the vertical surface of the RV. The GenTuri system weighs 9.85 pounds.
