Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty is Right This thing is heavy. But not too bulky considering the requirements for 50A power. We just got a new 50A trailer after years with 30A. Surprising how much heavier 50A cables are than 30A. I hooked it up and measured the voltage drop - very minimal. Over the years I needed an extension exactly once - but that is 150 miles from the nearest place I could have bought one on a Sunday evening. I really like the power grip handles - much easier to connect/ disconnect. My 30A extension did not have them. Kind of expensive and heavy to haul around, but when I need it, I have it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish that I had bought it before. I bought this to allow me to plug into a 50 amp plug that I recently installed in my garage. I carried it with me on a recent 2 week trip and had to use it to connect at one park that I stayed at. There were a couple of times in July that I wish that I had it. It's heavy, but flexible. The included carrying handle/ strap makes it easier to move and store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 50 amp power cord Having the handles when unplugging is wonderful. No more tugging or scraped knuckles when trying to disconnect the tight fitting cord from the electrical outlet. Love the ease of plugging and unplugging so much I had my In-Coach 50 amp power cord installed with the yellow handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power Grip a Must Got tired of running less than 50w on longer runs, this extension cord makes it happen. The handles give great leverage when connecting or disconnecting. I lay the large gauge cord in the sun to make it easier to coil neatly. A permanent and reliable advantage!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power Grip Extension Cord - Works As Advertised What can one say about an extension cord? Not much. I like the grips, feels safer because you keep the fingers further away from the receptacle. Tha carrying handle is smart and very useful since the cord weighs a bit. In short: recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty - just like it says! This is good quality extension cord, and the sturdy handles make it easy to plug and unplug. The power connection is at the very back of our fifth wheel, so a 50 amp extension cord is a must have. We are very pleased with this one!

So just to clarify, the description states it's for 120v yet the bigger rigs require 220 to run everything. Can I use this to safely run the AC, I have 220v outlet in my garage and want a capable extension cord.

Asked by: Docwhit
An RV 50amp cordset has two 120V legs that are hot, so it is seen as 120/240V, 120-240V, 125/250V, or 125-250V in manufacturer specs. This is a genuine 50amp RV power cord and the printed specs are missing '-240' for a complete description. Note: If an actual NEMA 14-50R receptacle has been installed at the home, then the rest of the information can be ignored. Otherwise, RV 50amp is a different receptacle than what is generally found in homes. It is recommended that the article linked below is viewed for a quick overview about a RV 50amp receptacle versus other common 50amp types. http://www.myrv.us/electric/Pg/50amp_Service.htm
