Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good awning. While the support arms of this awning can be attached to the sides of the camper or stood upright, the description does not indicate that it would be shipped without stake out ropes. Also, it did not have any installation instruction. After removing the old awning, it was easily installed. We just wondered if we needed to lubricate the awning edge or the channel prior to installing the new awning. After getting the new awning started and leveled to the channel it slid in quite easily. Overall the awning and the supporting structural frame and support arms are very well made and should last for many years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality, easy but check your camper height High quality fabric and supports. Set up is easy and smooth. My only issue is that for our pop up we really end up having to use the poles in the vertical position to the ground (vs 45* angle on attached back to the camper) because our camper apparently isn’t tall enough to make it feasible otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money, easy to use. Excellent for the price. It slid into the existing track on slide-in camper. I've set it up only once so far, but it was not difficult for one person. I don't use the cantilever style deployment as I did with the old awning. Got tired of walking into the angled legs. The awning and structure does not appear to be as robust as the original, but and identical replacement would have cost at least three times what this one did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Confused camper Picture with this ad shows only 2 legs attached to camper, I thought I bought that ,but mine came with 4 legs not what I thought as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality, wish it came with awning rail Good quality, but wish it came with awning rail so I didn't have to buy that separately

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Carefree awning Nice looking once it’s up. But not having anything other than loops for the rods to set into makes it harder to set up. And the 1st time I set it up the orange levers broke that locks the poles. Just not impressed yet. We are on the 1st trip out with it now. Will update

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carefree Awning Perfect Fit This 13' Carefree Camping Awning fit our 2005 Fleetwood Sequoia perfectly. Feels sturdy and slid right in the channel. Like that the legs are adjustable to any hight rather than set heights. Cannot wait to try it out in a place other than our yard.

Will this awning adapt to a jay series (Jayco) pop up? Will the bag slide into Jayco's bag rail or is retro fitting necessary?

Asked by: Freddy55
Your pop up uses an industry standard rail, no modifications or adaptations are needed. The awning will slide right in.

What is a bag awning?

Asked by: Allan
A typical awning(manual or electric) has a set of hardware arms that mount directly to the side of an RV. The fabric rolls up in to the roller assembly and the arms collapse on its self to the RV. With a bag awning, legs swing out from the lead rail of the awning and can be set up in a carport configuration where the feet touch the ground, or can attach to brackets mounted to the RV for a pitched awning. The legs are folded back in to the lead rail, and the awning is rolled back up or retracted in to a case or zippered bag. All of the components are self contained unlike a typical patio awning. Linked below is the Owner's Manual for the Campout awning. https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/documents/Campout.pdf

Does this awning come with the hardware/railing/brackets required? We are fourth owners on our 1998 Coleman Rio pop up and the original pop up awning and hardware are no longer on the camper.
