Additional Information
The Champion 3500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator is a quiet and lightweight addition to your RV, your next camping trip, a weekend of tailgating, or as a source of backup power during an emergency. This super-convenient inverter generator operates off gas or propane straight out of the box. On gasoline, the inverter will produce 3500 starting watts and 3200 running watts; on propane, it produces 3150 starting watts and 2880 running watts. The Safety Fuel Selector Switch ensures safe and easy operation on either fuel. The inverter comes with a battery for easy, push-button electric Touch Start. The unit comes travel-ready with a standard 30A RV outlet with enough power to start and run a 15,000 BTU RV air conditioner. It will also power essential items during an emergency or power outage - lights, sump pump, refrigerator, modem/router, furnace blower, fan, TV/DVD, or computer. The inverter produces Clean Power (<3% THD), making it suitable for use with sensitive electronics such as computers, flatscreen TVs, and more.

This RV-ready Dual Fuel Inverter operates quietly at 59 dBA from 23 ft. and has a run time of up to 7.5 hours on a full tank of gasoline or 14.5 hours on a 20-lb. propane tank at 25% load. The inverter has a smart Economy Mode that can determine exactly how much power is needed, slowing down the engine when applicable. As electrical load is reduced, the engine automatically idles lower, allowing for quiet operation, extended engine life, and higher fuel economy. The Quick Touch Panel allows easy access to all controls in one convenient area. With parallel capability, the inverter has the ability to connect with another Champion 2800-Watt or more inverter for increased power output. The Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is powered by a reliable 192cc Champion single-cylinder OHV engine with a 1.6 gal. fuel tank, 0.6 qt. oil capacity (recommended 10W-30), and an automatic low-oil shut-off sensor.

The generator comes fully assembled with built-in carrying handles, a foldaway handle, and integrated wheels for easy maneuvering, transportation, and storage. Includes two 120V 30A (TT-30R) and two 120V 20A household outlets (5-20R) equipped with automatic over-voltage protection, a 12V DC automotive-style outlet with dual USB adapter, an oil funnel, and a propane quick-connect hose with regulator. 50-state compliant (CARB & EPA certified). Dimensions: 25.1"L x 17.3"W x 18.3"H. Weight: 95 lbs. Three-year limited warranty.

Generators are not eligible for return. If you purchase a generator that is defective, please visit your local Camping World SuperCenter or an authorized dealer for inspection. Or, reference the Manufacturer's Warranty if applicable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Expected I researched inverter generators for months and went back and forth on whether I wanted to pay the premium for a Honda. Quiet operation was a must for camping but also needed one that would operate at least one 15,000 BTU A/C. For the price and capacity this one cannot be beat. My only concern was the noise level. After I connected the battery and filled it will oil and gas and hit the start switch it started immediately and I was very impressed as to how quiet it was. Would compare it to the 3000 Honda's I've heard. Very pleased and am planning on buying a second one to operate in parallel to operate both RV A/Cs at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dual fuel 3500 watt I purchased mine August 2016 and am very satisfied! I read the specs and reviews for all the top brand inverter generators and choose this one fo the good reviews and I am, so far at least, very happy about my decision. The Honda 3000i is the closest to this one and they say it will not run a 15,000btu air conditioner which is what I have. So when I read this unit would, I was very excited to purchase and try it. It has exceeded my expectations. It is super quiet. I have it in the bed of my truck and you cannot hear it run inside my 5th wheel RV. It runs my 15k air conditioner with no problem, even on propane.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right for my Needs Bought this unit to replace a pair of Champion 2000s. They were good, but I decided a single larger unit would be more convenient for me, if less flexible. The dual fuel feature was what sold me though. I was considering a red 3000 watt competitor, but the Champ has more power, weighs about 40 lbs less, will use propane and comes with wheels and a handle. Yes, the red gennie is quieter, but the Champ is quiet enough, much quieter than contractor-grade units. So far I've just used it around the yard to run electric tools while I break it in, but its primary use will be powering my RV. It will also serve as emergency power for the house through a power inlet box and transfer switch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happily using my Champion 3500 Very quiet, light and small enough to store in front bay. Am only able to run AC and 1 other large appliance (refer or micro) simultaneously combined with all other electrical, but in that event I just switch over refer to gas and I'm all good. Use with 2020 Shasta Phoenix 336RL (5th Wheel) Would recommend for anyone going into state parks, or where there are no hook up's. Doesn't disturb your neighbors! Open frames are larger and cheaper, but noise and propane were important to me. Oh yea, Camping World is the only one I found that provides 3500 watts, others are 3400.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I purchased this inverter for my camper, which has a Mach Coleman 12,500BTU air conditioner. Now this inverter won't run the AC and microwave at the same time, which is understandable, but it did give me a pleasant surprise. My camper is only 4 years old so the AC does have one of those cold start capacitors installed from the factory. (if yours doesn't have this it is a worthwhile investment, availabe everywhere and not expensive). The capacitor really reduces that initial surge an AC unit gives at startup. The surprise was that the AC starts and works beautifully with the inverter running in "ECONOMY" mode. This means a lot more run time out of a propane bottle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Champion- Terrible service Bought last fall- work great camping, hunting.. This sping used 2 times and it quit. Cabellas washed their hands of it being it was over 90 days. Champion said their only option with warranty is for me to take to service center. THe one told me that they quit servicing Champion product because they were terrible at compensating for work... The other service s=center was 2 weeks out before they could look at it. I took it in to them July 7. It is now September 13 and I still don't hav a generator!!! The service center is still waiting for parts> Extremely disappointed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy a Honda I bought this generator last January. It worked until June. I spent 6 months trying to get Champion to help me fix it. They finally agreed to pay to have it shipped to them, they "fixed" it and paid to send it back. I will give them credit for that. When I got it back, it worked for four hours and stopped. They will no longer respond to me. Champion has a Better Business Bureau rating of an F. I don't think I've ever seen a company with a F on BBB. Honda are a bit more but you get something dependable that you local mechanic knows how to fix. Spend the extra money now instead of throwing $1300 down the drain. Trust me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great generator champions short fall could be fixed easily. I use this generator to power my 30 foot fifth wheel, it powers the ac electric water heater as well as the odds and ends in the R.V. i wish it had a little larger wheels on it,the unit drags on the slightest bumps and uneven terrain easily. also the propane hose could be 5-6 inches longer being so short limits the distance how far your able to get the propane tank away from something that has a spark and runs hot, as simple as it is an hour meter should be included with the generator, champion wants you to do the maintenance on it at selected hours with out an hour meter makes it a guess on that required maintenance.

I am considering this Generator for my travel trailer. I have a hitch box that rides on the back of the trailer, in which, the generator will reside. Is it possible for it to stay in the box while running as long as the lid is open?

Asked by: Noah
As long as you have a few inches on either side of the generator. The spark arrestor side and the battery inlet side you are just fine.

Champion 3500 questions: 1. Can it be tied/paralled to another 3500 or do they have to run individually. Could 2 run 2 AC's at the same time? 2. What are your factory db ratings at what %'s? I need one below 50 if at all possible.

Asked by: RoyM
1.Yes with adapter 2. Depends if the AC units have star-up capacitors. The concerns about load is when the compressor first fires up. The rest of the time most are very efficient. 3. Factory dB ratings at percentages can be found on their site a number of others with a google earch.

We actually haven't used it very much. We bought it for power outages here in CA. It isn't bad the few times we ran it, but we haven't ever run it in a campground.
