Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable generator at a great price!!! After power outages from storms I decided to look into generators. Online a few top name came out and the Champion name was always in the top 5. Being a delivery driver, I start to notice that of the "top brand" names, I had far more home deliveries of Champion generators than any other. So I questioned so.e of my customers on their choice and they always said price and reliability were their reasons for going with Champion. And a few of them were owners of Champion generators already, but just needed a different size or a newer one and wanted to stick to that brand. So now I am an owner of a Champion generator and I am very happy with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good generator and value - very noisy Purchased for dry camping, runs 5th wheel AC and appliances great. Very dependable, used in environments ranging from 7 degrees F to 107F in N Central, NE and Western WA in low and high humidity environments. Excellent run time. One major draw back - VERY noisy. DNR ranger remarked it was the loudest generator he'd seen. (Right before I had to kill it) If you're really remote - it's great. If you might need to use it near people - pay more for quiet. For RV use I'm considering switching to propane to avoid dealing with gas transfer. Just a thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It just works This generator was included with a camper purchase I made. I unboxed it, and was pleased to discover that it included a funnel and a small bottle of oil (no last second trip to the hardware store required!). The "Quick Start" manual was a breeze to read. I added some fuel, and with one pull on the starter rope, it fired right up. I was pleased with how quiet it was. No, it's not as quiet as one of the expensive 2000 watt Hondas, but for it's size, this generator is fairly quiet. I also appreciated having the digital display, showing power output. I'm looking forward to many years of dependable service from this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice piece of equipment that works well I'm planning to use the generator to power my camping trailer while my wife and I follow the NASCAR circuit this year. The following year, we'll be building on a lake and intend to use it for living and providing construction power until we have utilities in the site. I'm happy with the selection of power plugs that will suit these uses. The generator started immediately and ran well. It seems to be well built, and I expect it will provide years of service. The intelli-Gauge is a nice feature, but it's not obvious if the hours displayed is the cumulative hours of running or an estimate of hours remaining. This will quickly become clear during use, but could be indicated in the owner's manual.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Our Champion generator sure came in handy!! I wasn't so sure that we needed to bring a generator along on our third camper camping experience. Thank goodness we did! We ended up having trouble with the batteries holding a charge so the generator came in handy during our 9 day trip with no electric hook ups. It sure solved a lot of problems when we took down camp and didn't have enough power in the batteries to retract the electric awning. We couldn't get on the road unless we could pull it in. Luckily the generator was packed near the back of the truck. A quick start and the awning was in and we were on our way!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this generator This is a solid, good performing and good looking generator. Everything needed except gas was in the box, and it started right up. I ike the variety of outlets; it is compatible with the camper plug and my power equipment. I like the intelli-gauge, but would like a bit more detail. Is hours the hours used or gas time remaining? Time will tell. It would be more convenient to be able to use regular E15 gas. The owner's manual and quick-start guide are inconsistent on gas compatibility. The manual says E10 is ok. The quick-start says don't use gas with ethanol. What happens to tbe engine if E15 is used?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tested During Hurricane Then Bought One When hurricane Irma came through our entire area lost power for over a week. A neighbor was nice enough to loan us this model that is RV ready. All we had to do was add gas, start it, and plug in our RV power cord. Everything in the trailer worked perfectly, including A.C. and multiple full size refrigerators, which we need for our poultry operation. With temperatures in the mid-90's, we kept everything cool and the girls laying eggs. Once power came back, we located one at the local Camping World and bought it in the spot. This generator really saved us, we cannot say enough good things about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as advertised I purchased this generator for the purpose of operating my 20 foot travel trailer. I camp in the high mountains of New Mexico and the generator has performed well so far. I rarely use my AC and/or microwave, but it will run them without issue. I've tried them out. It is not too heavy for me to lift in and out of my truck bed. It operates quietly in my opinion. It is about 20 feet from my camper when running and I don't find it particularly loud at all. I am happy with its low-fuel operation and affordability for my purposes.

why is it not sold in california?

Asked by: cowboy
Because California does not permit products sold in the state that are determined to be an extreme danger to human health or life. See all products with cancer warning mandated by CA. But if they outlaw it completely, imagine how bad that product must be. I pay attention to CA’s product warnings.
