Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built and cooks great We bought one of these grills about a year ago when we got a small travel trailer. It's sturdy and works so well that sometimes I use it at home instead of our older full size Jenn-air gas grill. Since we don't normally need a large grill I'm thinking about buying a second one to use at home and only drag out the camper grill when we need more. I only use a 20 lb tank with a 10 foot hose. That way I can use the extra tank on our trailer or connect up to one on the deck at home. You can remove the regulator with the hose attached and stow it inside the latched grill for travel. I never tried it with the little bottles and probably never will.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOO HOT!!!! We bought this unit about 6 weeks ago and have used it on two trips so far. We have used the disposable green canisters and even adapted it to our larger propane tank on the fifth wheel. No matter what we dial the fuel down too we cannot get this unit to heat up to anything less than the maximum unless we leave lid off. Consequently you have to tend everything all the time so you do not burn your meal up. Even with infrared there is some minor flare up. We have the big infrared deep fryer from charbroiled and have enjoyed it for a couple years now,but this is a big disappointment. We will go back to using our larger Coleman starting this weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going on 2 years and we’ll traveled We got this grill for an apartment in 2016 and it has made several moves. For the first time the grill wasn’t working properly due to gas leaking from the connector valve and we got in touch with customer service and sent us a replacement part. This grill is not only an awesome value, but the company stands behind their products and makes sure it is safe for you to continue using and helps you with any issues (again- portable grill after 2 years use and the company helped us get it working like new again!) would highly recommend any charbroil grill, but if you have a small space and want a portable grill, you cannot go wrong with this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Produces wonderful BBQ I was looking for a portable BBQ that would be an improvement over my older tabletop BBQ, and this Tru Infrared intrigued me. After getting it we initiated it with grilling salmon, and it did a beautiful job on it. I didn't realize how much oil is in salmon. The grill kept flames (flair up)from coming through. It cooks evenly, and the piazo igniter and temperature gauge are great to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I bought this grill and first used it on a blistering cold day--it was 6 degrees with a wind chill of -12. Grill lit right up, heated up quickly, and grilled two steaks to perfection in a matter of 10 minutes. I wasn't expecting too much from it; however, it has far exceeded my expectations. Well made, feels durable, and it wasn't difficult to clean. Highly recommended. My only complaint is it was a little expensive in comparison to others on the market, but I think after using it that it was worth the extra money (or if they included a outdoor cover for it that would have made it worth it too!).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective out of the box Looks like a terrific grill out of the box, but the gas regulator device will not fit the grill slot. Can't force it in and it just doesn't fit. You can't just let it hang there without the safety of being securely connected. So I've been on the phone with Customer Service, thought I had it arranged to get a replacement, but when I called again they didn't have any notes from my previous call. I'm not surprised because I had seen that others complained of this issue. Just thought it might have been corrected by the time I ordered one. Either the regulator wasn't designed for this unit or the unit wasn't designed for this regulator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Just have to learn how to use it. I've had it for 3 years now and its holding up fine, great construction. Took a while to get the hang of cooking with this grill. The infrared cooks through the food. Pre heat it on high for a few minutes ,then turn it down to medium and cook your food on it for about 3/4 the time you normally would. Outside will have a great little bit of char and the inside will be perfect- just don't let it cook too long. It really just fast forwards the cooking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from x200 infared grill I have own this grill for a year and used to love it. the design, size, durability, lightweight, and many more feature gravitated me to make this purchase. Everything with this grill is perfect except for the way it cooks food. its quite impreesive tgat something so small is so strong. too powerful to cook chicken even on the lowest setting. the grill gate is the worst part of this grill. very hard to clean and doesnt cook well when the slot is filled with drippings from cooking.

Can you attach is grill to the LP service port on an RV?

Asked by: Rick B
No, the burner control dial is built on to the regulator. This portable grill can only run from a 1# disposable bottle or connected directly to a refillable tank with an appropriate non-regulated hose(like SKU#30342). The Grill2Go X200 cannot be modified to run from the low pressure quick connect LP line found on an RV.

Cooking with pots/pans?

I am wondering if you can cook with a cast iron pot or can I use a non-stick on this grill? Is there a max weight?
Asked by: BigSur Camper
Pots/pans of any variation can be used. However, you may not get as much direct heating compared to a camp-stove burner that a pot/pan can sit directly on. A maximum weight rating has not been recorded for this unit.
