Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable, Versatile, and Durable We have owned and used this grill for over 10 years- purchased in early 2005. We used it for several years as our primary grill in our travel trailer - cooking almost every meal daily while on the road 40-50 days a year. We also used as our primary home grill while moving and the patio grill is in transit between homes. Finally, we have used this grill for countless camping trips with BSA and AHG. We have the storage bag, 20lb adapter hose, stove coils, second grill, and second griddle. The epitome of versatile. I have never had to do anything other than regular cleaning and basic maintenance. I recommend to everyone that goes camping with us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Impressive Grill I bought my fist Road Trip Grill in 2002 when I was in Florida working temporarily in that area. I used it on my patio at my apartment there. When I bought my motor home, to live in while I was working at various projects, it was perfect for limited storage. I am now out in Texas and I have just purchased my second one. The first one was used heavily (Almost daily) and lasted a mere eight years, and actually is still useable. That amortizes out to about $25.00 a year. For me, it was a no brainer to purchase the identical grill. The only minor negative is the water pan. It can be kind of messy, but then I have never had a grill, large or small, that wasn't messy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YES the carry bag actually works, nice grill You must pack the shelfs first in the lower pouches, then lay the base in upside down and press down, then lay the the top section into the bag and start the zipping half way, then stand the bag up on the wheels to let everything settle, then the zippers close with no problem and the bag will stretch over time. People writing negative reviews are simply wrong and did not have enough patience to figure it out before posting. Grill seems excellent and well made. It setup and broke down much easier than I thought. These reviews had be very worried but now I realize there was nothing to fear. This was one of the better products I ordered from them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a very good grill I am very pleased with my road trip grill. It was easy to put together and easy to clean. Cooks evenly and the flat top grill is handy for pancakes in the morning. I gave ir a four star rating because it is rather heavy to carry and you need to be careful setting it up , pinched fingers. If you are staying at a campsite for more than one nite, This is the grill for you. Enough room for 3 big T-Bones on the grill. I have had many grills over the years but finally I have found one that is well built and will last a long time. Good grill for tailgating and on the back deck. I use mine there and on the road in the motorhome

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Grill I have had this grill since 2002. When we camp I cook 2 meals a day and we camp 8 to 10 weeks a year. So as you can see the grill gets a lot of use. I enjoy cooking on this grill very much. The only down side is finding the griddle replacements. 10 years ago it was easy to find the aluminum OE replacements, but this year it was impossible. The only griddle that is offered now is cast iron. These cast iron replacements are junk. They're heavy and all your food sticks to them despite numerous prep methods used. This looks like a ploy by Coleman to force you to buy a new grill.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as user friendly as it seems I bought this grill based off the great reviews everyone put out there. Going into our 2nd year of owning an RV we decided to purchase a good grill. This grill appeared to fit our needs, which it does until its time to pack it up. Even with the water in the drip pan as they recommend, cleaning the thing takes alot time and work. Most of the time I have to wipe it down the best I can and put it in the RV and really clean it once Im home, but that leaves a mess in the carry bag then. I think this product is great and durable, but it is a mess and hassle to clean. This is not a product that would work if you want a quick breakdown of your camp site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great grill, versatile and easy to use. We've had our Road Trip grill for about 2 years and it's been great! Use is very easy even for those that might not have a lot of grilling experience, cleanup is very good as well. We purchased the rolling bag, unit cover, griddle and stove ring accessories soon after buying the initial unit and have had zero problems with any part of it.The unit not only grills good, it puts out enough heat to easily deep fry fish in a pan as well as cook breakfasts on the griddle making it a pretty complete cooking center, really handy in warm temps when you don't want to heat up your RV cooking indoors. Seriously considering replacing grill we use at home with another one of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product! I carry this in my 5th wheel camper. The table is sturdy even on sloping ground. The extra "wings" on the table are very helpful as is the place to hang your tools. With the aluminum grill surfaces, they transmit heat quickly so you are up and cooking in no time at all. I can whip up a full breakfast for 4 people on this grill in 30 minutes. It cleans up easily and folds away very well for the limited space in my camper. Plus, you can buy extra grill surfaces if you want. I like the flat grill surface that comes with this model as you can cook almost anything on it. But be careful not to scratch the Teflon!

Will this work with a 10# tank?

Asked by: GB CO
This grill normally takes 1# disposable bottles. Propane appliances like this can be hooked up to a refillable propane tank by using a hose like SKU#30338, #30342, or #601931

I have an 80 lb tank on the rv with a hose fitting before the regulator and a 10 ft hose. Will this work?

If the hose you have is threaded for disposable bottles, yes it can be used with this RoadTrip grill.

Can this grill be attached to the trailers grill gas outlet? Or since its after the regulator, will this interfer with the regulator on the grill?

Asked by: Mike S C
The onboard regulator will prevent proper flow of gas if you connect this grill to an RV's low pressure line. However, this grill can be modified to run on low pressure and can attach it to the quick connect line on an RV. At this time we do not carry any conversion kits or adapters for the Coleman Roadtrip series of grills.

If I remove the regulator, can I run this from the low pressure grill connection on my trailer?

Asked by: GaryT
Yes, it is possible to remove the regulator and adapt the gas input on the grill so it can be fed off the low pressure propane line from an RV.

How can I connect the Coleman road trip to my 5th wheel propane? What do I need to make the connections ?

Asked by: Anonymous
A bypass has to be created before the RV's regulator. Tee's like the 'Stay Flow Plus' or <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/stay-a-while-deluxe>'Stay A While Deluxe'</a> provides a non-regulated connection that a portable propane appliance, like the Roadtrip Grill, can use.
