Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate air rifle- great value! I bought the .22 Benjamin Titan GP on sale at my local Gander Mountain store. The first one I bought had a machining defect in the breech lockup so I exchanged it, and the replacement is a keeper! I am an air rifle enthusiast, and this one has outstanding accuracy and power for the price. It is a tack driver with Beeman FTS or H&N Field Target Trophy Pellets, stacking them into a hole slightly larger than a single pellet at 15 yards from a rest. It shoots the 14.66 grain pellets at 745FPS, for 18 ft-lbs of energy, which is excellent for a rifle in this class (The marketing hype of higher numbers are made with the lightest pellets possible which seldom give good accuracy.) The gas piston gives a shot cycle with no twang or excessive vibration. The long, heavy, mushy, trigger is the biggest downfall of this rifle, but there are aftermarket blades and well-documented low cost modifications that improve it greatly. I installed a Swift 3-9x40AO airgun scope with high mounts on mine, but the 4X32 that came with it will get you shooting. The included scope rings come with a stop pin, which is necessary with the sharp recoil of this airgun. I recommend using Guntite thread locker, available from Gander Mountain, to secure the stock screws, as the soft blue goop from the factory is not effective. The bore was pretty dirty out of the box. I did an initial cleaning using a pull through with Remington 40x cleaner applied to tight patches, and followed up with JB bore paste for a bit more polish. The bore seems to have a much smoother finish than other rifles in this price class. I recommend pulling patches through the gun frequently while it is new, as excess factory grease will migrate out of the chamber and find it's way into the bore. The wood is a very pale, bland color, and is not nearly as attractive as the photo. Overall, though, the fit and finish is good with no blemishes on the wood or metal. The muzzle brake is hard rubber, but looks good and functions fine as a cocking handle. I where a 44 long suitcoat, and the ergonomics work fine for me. I don't know if I won the performance lottery with this particular rifle, or if they are all this good (excepting the first one with the breech defect), but I am thrilled with the performance and value. I will add one caveat that due to the sharp recoil while the pellet is still travelling down the barrel, powerful spring or gas piston airguns like the Titan can be very challenging to shoot with consistent accuracy, but that challenge can also make them a whole lot of fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bargain, five star gun with an ok scope Purchased Jan 02, 2016. Surprisingly quiet, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 the sound of a Ruger 10/22. Trigger is a bear to pull on. Considering a GRT-3 trigger for it down the road. Scope is ok for beginners or just starting out. Replaced it with a Leapers UTG Scope and high mount dovetail rings. My eyes are not what they used to be, the scope is a monster (see picture). Gander, please look at stocking these scopes. The new scope made the gun a true five star bargain shooter. The included scope is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. My wife picked this up for the second time ever and took out a squirrel chewing a hole in our home. A little hard to cock, supposed to get easier with a few hundred shots. Shoulder strap rings are missed if your hiking a good distance, not needed for a backyard plinker/shooter/zombie squirrel defender. Fun to shoot, takes me back to my first pump BB gun. Ah-good times again, empty cans be-ware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A pleasant surprise! Bought this as a way to tinker in the woods with my son. Very cheap to shoot. Pleasantly surprised at the finish and quality. Scope is not much to work with but rifle is nice. A little touch to cock until you get the hang of it, but it does take a little strength. Overall I am well pleased.
