Cyclone Sewer Vent Works Fantastic!
We had purchased a used towable this winter, and it has had a very
bad sewer smell (the previous owner didn't clean out the tank very
well). I purchased this vent after reading the reviews, and I am VERY
happy to say that after 24 hours of the trailer sitting in my driveway, the
smell is gone!! The installation was very easy although I did have to
modify it very slightly to fit my application. I think it took me longer to
gather my tools together than to do the installation. I cannot put into
words just how happy I am with this product. I recommend this to
anyone who doesn't want to smell their tank anymore.

I can't believe how well it works
Normally products never work as well as it's advertised. This sewer vent is the exception.
Before I installed this vent I was getting sewer smells when we were camped, parked,
moving or stored. I tried driving with the windows open and closed. I sealed the sink
drains. I poured vegetable oil into the toilet to form a seal. I kept the roof vents open and
closed. I used twice the normal amount of black tank additive. Finally I installed the
Cyclone vent and took it out for a 2 week trip. Neither my wife nor I smelled any odor during
the entire trip--absolutely NONE. We were ecstatic. It was a hassle removing the old vent,
taking off the old sealant, drilling the mounting holes, etc but it was well worth it.

Depending on location of Sewer Vent
Our Cyclone Vent is located in very close proximity to the Primary AC unit. One day after
a wind direction change, positioned the exhaust port directly in line to the AC unit. We
started to smell an odor inside coming from the AC. We had to turn off the AC and
open windows for the night. The next day I did a black tank flush, the winds changed
also and then no more sewer smell. Our issue could have been caused by tank
needing a flushing out and or the wind direction change which caused exhaust to be
directed into our AC air. I would consider this when putting on roof.

Poop smell gone!
I purchased a used coach and when my black tank was empty there was little or no tank odor. However put a couple of days of use into the tank,
hit the road and the smell was unbearable. We
tried everything, and the I remembered seeing this vent in a camping world ad. I went online ordered it, received in 3 days and immediately installed it.
All odor is gone, tank can be full or empty and the result is the same-no bad smells period. If you have tank odors and you have done everything else to eliminate the odors, buy this vent, cuz it works,
period!

Whoop-dee-doo, No PU!
These vents are well worth the money. I installed them on the black and grey tanks. It didn't take long to notice the difference. I just removed the old vent covers and added a coupler and short piece of PVC to extend them up from the roof about even with the top of the A/C unit. I didn't see any need to remove the old vent flanges either. I made sure my trailer was level before installing them and then made sure they were vertical so they can rotate freely. Caulked every joint too.

Sewer Vent Works Great
After suffering the smells of outrageous fortune in two motorhomes
the last 10 years, we got a Camping World Cyclone Sewer Vent. Long
story short, it works as advertised, no smells wafting in to the living
quarters at inopportune times.
The only misgiving I had was what I considered to be the somewhat
flimsy construction of the unit. BUT it has held up well in all kinds of
travel and wind conditions so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it
will continue to do so.

Does a great job
Recently bought a new trailer. During my shake down and inspection I found a crack in the sewer vent cap (the screw was over tightened to hold it to the roof). I went to CW to buy a replacement and saw this item. Like the idea of the wind moving the air directional. Installed (took only 10-15 minutes) and it rotated easily. After 3 trips, I'm glad the original cap was cracked. This a good device; moves the air / odor as promised.

My Simple Review - No Bad Odors
I was wondering how I was going to review these things if they worked, because unlike so many others when I made the decision to upgrade it really had very little to do with bad odors. The good news is that I made the upgrade all the same - as part of changing out the toilet and a few of the other roof vents - and the Cyclone's seem to work pretty
well. They certainly haven't changed things for the worse and in my mind, with an older RV, that's a good thing.

Can I get it in the color black?
Yes you can get these in black or white. This is June 8 2019 and I saw them on my Google search. Also Camping World today have both black and white.

If you’re hooked up to a regular house sewer is this needed?
If your toilet is directly plumbed to city sewer without a holding tank, no the Cyclone sewer vent is not necessary since all contents in the toilet will be carried away with each flush.
However, if your toilet is connected to a black water tank, but are getting sewer smells in the RV regardless of the dumping connection being used. Then this type of product is beneficial as it pulls out fumes from the holding tank through the venting that should be connected to the tank its self.

Will this help eliminate smells coming from my roof top air conditioner of my RV?
When I run the air conditioner of our trailer for extended periods of time on hot days, a very strong poop smell comes out of the air conditioning unit. The smell starts gradually until it's fully emitting poop odours non stop unless you turn it off. It doesn't happen when the same fan is running - just the air conditioner. We've done everything! Ran hoses down each vent pipe. Took apart roof top unit to ensure nothing has died in there, poured cleaning products into septic tank....and more. Nothing is working and I'm getting so frustrated. Do you think this product could be the solution to my problem?
It sounds like the plumbing vent on the roof of your RV might be placed right next to your air conditioner. When a standard plumbing vent is placed next to a rooftop A/C it is not uncommon for the fumes to be sucked in by the A/C when turned on. A product like the Cyclone Sewer vent or 360 Siphon is helpful in redirecting the fumes away but also keeps the fumes from building in the holding tank as well. <p>Another thing to look at are your house batteries, 'boiled batteries' can cause a sulfur like smell.

Does it keep rain out.
This item will keep rain out in most cases. In cases of sideways rain, it is possible that some rain water can get in, but it is still very unlikely.
