wow, what a differance
I have a 25ft 5th wheel, I bought 2 bottles pre treat and 4 cans of CoolCoat. Installing
plastic drop sheets to protect sides was the hardest part of the process. Tape held that very good. Weather was great, 70 and very low humidity Applied 1.75
bottles of pretreat with 1 gal sprayer and washing/rinse off with pressure washer made it
fast and easy. Used brush to trim and medium tape roller to further coat. I feel as if I put on 2
good coats, was left with 2 cans unopened. I work in HVAC and have seen many
coatings used in this instance, the finished product was outstanding. What a difference it
made to my roof just in appearance and surface texture. The insulation factor will make it
all that better.

Excellent Products
We put this roof coating on a few months back, and have been to Texas and Las Vegas
this summer. I personally think that this product did actually keep our camper cooler and
it also seems that our A/C didn't have to work as hard. We felt like after we put our
camper down for the night, it didn't take as long to cool it off and we ran the
thermostat around 72-75 degrees. We have a 1998, 26ft Prowler with 1-slide. I know
this stuff is a bit pricey, but I bought 2 gallons and got 3 coats on our roof including the
14ft slide and I use 3 bottles of the cleaner. Definitely worth it! I will do the roof coating again when it is
time. We live where the average snowfall is 240 inches, so will let everyone know how
the roof stood up over the winter.

Actually lives up to the advertisement
I bought the system, cleaner primer and 2 gallons of
cool coat. I have an 8x 27 fleetwood. I followed the
directions, and I ended up with a finished product that I was
very satisfied with. I had one quart left over. It is hot here in
Texas and as advertised the product was much cooler than
the previous roof. I will use it again when it comes time, for
sure.

Happy so far
I have a 34 foot Class C and bought 4 gallons of this stuff just to make sure I had plenty and based on other reviews, I figured I would have some left over and could always take some back to a store later. Well, I put it on fairly thick I think and added three heavy coats and took all 4 gallons and I was happy I got the extra. I wanted the extra protection for roof and also figured thicker would help insulate more also. We will see how well it helps on insulation, but it sure wouldn't hurt and my old rubber was a solid black, so the white should help just with color alone. I used three bottles of the sealer first and was just enough. I hope it holds up well but for now, it looks great and was easy to use, just takes all day to prep, wash the sealer and add three coats for complete job.

Leadville, Colorado
I have a 1989 26ft prowler travel trailer with a 12ft slide. I used 3 EPDM/cleaner-
activator and 1 1/2 gallons of the DICOR CoolCoat. I had about 1/2 gallon left over
which i will do a little touch up and redo the seams after the monsoon season is over.
The product went on good and after two coats it looks great. We will see how it works in
the Texas heat in a couple of weeks. It
didn't rain on it and had it out in the sun for about 6 hrs before dark but the next morning it
was 38 degrees and a bit of dew on the roof but went to check on it and with the 18 hrs or
less of dry time it seems to be ok. I had a pressure washer which made the
cleaner/activator easy to get off and didn't do all the plastic and taping the whole camper
so when i got done just rinsed the unit real good and does't show any stains or streaks.
We average about 240 inches of snow a year so will see how it holds up to our winters up
here.

Dicor CoolCoat Rubber Ceramic Coating
Follow all the instructions. Do not deviate. I did my 41 foot fifth wheel roof and three slides with it. It took 3 coats to completely cover. Goes on thicker with a brush than a roller. Only took 3 gallons but it was a very clean five year old roof. Seems to be helping with the indoor temperature. Ceiling staying much cooler. Hard to tell when OAT is 111 degrees here in S. Arizona. Anything is a help. Keeps ductwork in ceiling cooler too. Time will tell but happy so far.

20 year camper pc
Great product it applies easily with a paintbrush & roller. Just simply follow the dicor instructions. It also does help keep our camper cooler in the hot Florida sun.

I have a gallon of the regular Dicor coating which I cannot return. In a new application, can I use this as the second coat. I wish I had seen this product sooner as I live in FL and need all the help I can get with heat.
I would put as many coats on as I feel I need.

I have a 38' Motorhome. How many gallons needed? I cannot find any coverage specs on the product page.
Each gallon covers 125 square feet. So on a 38 ft. motorhome, you are looking at approximately 5 gallons as the manufacturer recommends two coats to be applied. To accurately figure out how much of the CoolCoat is needed, the roof will need to be measured.

Will work on my terry 27x 1999?
We do not have a reference system that specifies construction of an RV make/model. The roof material will have to be identified one way or another. An EPDM or TPO membrane(rubber) roof can use this product. Fiberglass or metal roofs should not. <a href=https://youtu.be/KL5qJw397Rc>'How to Determine Your RV Roof Type' - presented by Dicor</a>

Will it work on fiber glass roofs
Will it help small cracks from leaking
For a fiberglass roof, <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/dicor-fiberglass-rv-roof-coating-gallon>SKU#58353</a> is recommended.
Date published: 2019-03-08
What type roller do I need to apply this? I understand to use a paint brush to cut in the details.
A medium nap roller is used. An instructional video can be viewed <a href=https://youtu.be/OrzKWZ1Mw-o>here</a>. Instead of the EPDM Acrylic Coating(RP-CRC-1), the CoolCoat(RP-IRC-1) is used in its place. The prep work and application process is still the same.
Date published: 2019-03-08
Is this also a sealant for leakage?
No, leaks have to be resealed with a lap sealant or sealant tape like <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/dicor-diseal-tape-4-x-50-roll-white>#42193</a>.
Date published: 2019-03-08
What if acrylic is already on there?
Can this be applied if the acrylic was put on last year?
Just like the standard EPDM acrylic coating, the cleaner/activator(#32150) still has to be applied first which means the previous acrylic will be stripped from the rubber membrane.
Date published: 2019-03-08
Will it stick to alumium?
No, this product is designed only for rubber roof membranes.
