Elastomeric Metal RV Roof Coating is formulated with 100% Acrylic resins to form a flexible coating that will expand and contract with the roof movement.
Dicor Elastomeric Metal RV Coating is brilliant white to provide a superior reflectivity thereby lowering interior temperatures. Not recommended for EPDM RUBBER OR TPO ROOFING.
Designed for aftermarket applications, Dicors Elastomeric Metal RV Roof Coating protects and beautifies metal, aluminum, steel, fiberglass and previously coated RV roofs (not recommended for EPDM rubber or TPO roofs). Formulated with 100 percent acrylic elastomeric resins, it forms a rubber coating that expands and contracts with the roofs movement. Also, its brilliant white color is extremely reflective, lowering interior temperatures. This product should be used after Coating-Ready Cover Tape has been applied on metal roofs. Shipping could be delayed in the case of extreme weather/temperatures to ensure product quality.

Motorcycle trailer
Used this to seal a 20' motorcycle trailer with a metal roof. Put 3 to 4 coats on seams then 2 coats on the total roof, with the gallon size. Stopped all leaks.

TERRIFIC PRODUCT!!!
GREAT product! at least 2 coats are REQUIRED...I painted the seams 4 times. Bright white rubbery finish when dry, Where I once had to place cardboard down on the roof to be able to save my skin from burning when I had to go up there (the roof used to get so hot you could fry an egg) I can now lie up there with a bathing suit on! ITS COOL TO THE TOUCH IN THE BLAZING HOT FLORIDA SUN!

Dissatisfied
Waited over a month and never received product. Money was refunded but not all. Epic fail on customer service and the CEO won't talk to you when you call so don't bother. Not sure I'll even shop at local store again after this debacle.

Dicor Metal RV Roof Coating
Applied easily using instructions on can. Can recommends 2 coats, I used 3 for a totally covered appearance. Appears to adhere well but only time will tell.

Have a 2015 American coach with a fiberglass roof. I know I need a 100% acrylic elastomeric product. Previous questions seem to be for rubber or metal roofs. Can this product be used on fiberglass? if so how many coats are required?
The fiberglass specific roof coating is listed as SKU#58353.
1 gallon of the Fiberglass RV Roof Coating will cover 350 sq. ft.

Is it required to use some type of cleaner prior to applying this product ?
No, there is not a specific cleaner required unlike the rubber roof product line which has a two in one cleaner & primer.
After thoroughly washing the roof with cleaner of your preference and removing any rust. While not required, you can apply Dicor's Metal Roof Rush Inhibitive Primer(SKU#58354) which helps reduce further rusting of the roof and enhances the ability for the elastomeric coating to stick.

Is this better than the proflex brushable sealant. Which would be better for my roof on 1990 Tioga by Fleetwood?
According to an archived copy of the owner's manual for your motorhome downloaded from Fleetwood, you have a rubber roof. A rubber roof would use use the cleaner/activator (SKU# 32150) to prep the rubber membrane, then apply the coating SKU# 32151(Acrylic) or SKU#70508(CoolCoat).

What temperature does it need to be to apply the product to a metal roof
<u>Directions for Use:</u>
Apply, un-thinned, at the rate of 200 square feet per gallon, per coat. For maximum performance, two coats are required. Apply each coat at right angles to each other by brush or roller. First coat must be dry before second coat is applied. Under normal conditions of 70°F (21°C ) and 50% relative humidity, the second coat may be applied within 1 to 2 hours at the same rate as the first coat. In order to prevent any chance of “wash off” of freshly applied coating, do not apply at temperatures below 50°F (10°C), or when rainfall, cold, darkness or high humidity are expected within 4 hours after application. During these 4 hours, at least 2 hours should be of direct sunlight. Allow 24 hours for full cure.

Can this be used over silicone caulking?
Just bought an older 1992 popup and discovered a serious leak the first time we took it out. We inspected and recaulked the front edge and the top sides using silicone. I have since discovered this product and would like to coat the roof - can this be done?
Yes, this can be applied over already applied caulking/sealant.

Can this be used on asa thermoplastic (eurovan camper poptop)
No, <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/proflex-brushable-sealant>SKU#21208</a> is recommended since it will bond to just about any substrate material.
Date published: 2019-03-08
Can this be installed on wood roof?
No, this product is recommended only for metal surfaces. ProFlex Brushable Sealant, <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/proflex-brushable-sealant>SKU#21208</a>, can be applied to wood substrates. Another option would be to use a product we no longer carry called <a href=http://www.liquid-roof.com>Liquid Roof</a>.

Can this product be used on a rubber RV roof ?
No, this product is not to be used on a rubber roof. For a rubber roof use Dicor's 'CoolCoat', <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/dicor-coolcoat-rubber-ceramic-coating-gallon>SKU#70508</a>, or Acrylic coating, <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/dicor-white-rubber-roof-acrylic-coating-gallon>SKU#32151</a>.<p>Dicor roof primer/cleaner, <a href=https://www.campingworld.com/dicor-rubber-roof-cleaner-activator-quart>SKU#32150</a>, must be applied before the CoolCoat or Acrylic coatings.
