Additional Information
Rubber roof cleaner/activator improves bonding of acrylic coating to new or weathered rubber roof surfaces. The EPDM Roof Cleaner/Activator is the first part of a two-part, commercial-grade system that combines the cleaner/activator with an acrylic coating. The cleaner/activator prepares the roof while the acrylic coating provides an excellent, long-lasting protective barrier. The two together form a "lock and key" effect to bond the coating tightly to the old roofing. Note: Made specifically for your RV EPDM rubber roof, the conveniently packaged cleaner/activator is ready to use and easy to apply. It is recommended that this product not be used with other acrylic coatings since without the "lock and key" effect, adhesion will not be improved.

Features:
• Extends the life of your EPDM rubber roof
• Saves more than 25 percent in labor compared to competing products
• Has a 1 quart to 125 square feet coverage rate
• Dries quickly
• Contains no harmful petroleum distillates, harsh abrasives, or citric ingredients that can cause harm

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great The product worked very well. The recommendation was 2 coats, I got 3 and still had a little left. My trailer is 26ft. The only thing I am a little un clear about is the first part cleaner and prep. I had already cleaned my roof prior to getting the product. I did still follow the recommendation, then it asks you to pressure wash it off? So therefore, I feel I could have still achieved the same result by skipping part one. The key is to make sure your roof is clean and dry before applying. The cool part was when I touched the roof when it was dry, the temp was about 90 degrees out, but the roof was cool to the touch! Good product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rubber Roof Coating This is a great product and I am really pleased with the results. My roof looks like new. I applied three coats with a roller. Condtions were very dry (desert) and 70 deg.F. The complete process (including primer/cleaner and three applicatiions of coating) took an elapsed time of 6.5 hours. My trailer is 216 square feet so for two coats I ordered 4 gallons, as recommended. My first coat was not very thick, second coat was thick and third coat was medium. For these three coats I used just over two gallons. Also, the description for this coating product is not clear that you need to order the primer/cleaner separately (ie. it is two part but both parts don't come with this one product number).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good I purchased the product a couple of months ago and waited for the weather to warm up so I could remove the cover from my camper. I applied the coating last week. It went on very well and looks great. My camper roof is about 10 years old and looked really awful due to being parked under trees in a campground for six months a year. I cleaned it every fall, but it was slowly getting very bad. Like most others who reviewed this product, the job took two gallons of coating instead of the recommended four. I am very pleased with the results. Now just have to wait and see how it holds up over the long term.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goes On Smooth Just finished renewing my RV rubber roof. Used the cleaner first, let it dry, then brushed to Acrylic Coating around all the vents, openings on roof. I have a 28 ft. travel trailer and purchased 2 gallons (suggested from other reviewers), put 2 coats on thick and still had a good 1/2 gallon left. The roof is beautiful and looks brand new again. I had an RV place do the roof 3 years ago. They did a horrible job and the material started peeling off in 2 years (or less). I will save myself $600+ and do it myself! Super easy to apply and well worth every penny to purchase. Camping World had the best price and free shipping when I used my Good Sam/Camping World member's card. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roof looks like new This was recommended by a full timer friend of mine. He has used it on his trailer and many of his neighbors. It goes on great and makes the roof look new again. The only thing I would fore warn you is that the coverage requirements seem to be way off. I have a 30 foot fifth wheeler and after applying two coats I only used two gallons. Dicor says you need 4 gallons for a 30 foot trailer. I called my buddy to see if I was not applying it correctly. He said he rarely uses over two gallon even on larger campers. So I guess I'll do my slide which I was not planning on and another coat for the roof top. At around $70 a gallon that is a big overestimation. Not slaming the product. It made my roof while again and looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff, goes on easy, seems to work well. I have only had this on my roof now for two weeks and the hardest part was prepping the sides of the RV with dropcloth for the activator cleaner. So far so good. The stuff goes on smooth and easy like a thick paint and dries fairly quickly. Allow a full day for this job- as I said the prepping was the hardest part. The description is a bit off for how much you need, however. I have a 32' x 8.5' Class A and I only needed a little over 2 gallons for two coats. I bought 4 gallons as I was told in the description. It does one no good to overcoat or have three coats so I just did the two and gave the rest to my friend who is doing his RV soon, We'll see how it lasts, but for now it looks and works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dicor Acrylic Coating The acrylic coating worked great! I used 3 quarts of the coating primer cleaner and 2 gallons of the Acrylic coating. The only problem is I ordered 4 gallons for my 32' camper which is too much! That is what it was calling for by Dicor for a 30' camper! The plastic gave me the most problems! Keeping it taped on the top was a real headache! Not sure what the solution to the plastic staying taped but should I even try this again I will use duct tape next time. Not sure what to do with 2 gallons of acrylic coating? Does anyone have any suggestions on plastic staying taped?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product coverage 1 gallon will do 2 coats on 125 sq. Ft. I bought 2 gallons thinking it covered 125sq ft only once. Liked the product and would buy again.

can i clean my old and mostly intact caulk and then roll a couple of coats of this over it instead of recaulking?

Asked by: Ikeymay
No, this product does not act as a replacement for caulk or as a repair product. If your existing caulk is still in good condition, you can clean the surface and lay down some new caulk over top of it.

I have a 2006 Outback travel trailer, what do I need to do the roof with????

Asked by: zamman
This product is designed specifically for EPDM and TPO surfaced roofs. So it depends on the surface of your roof. You may need to contact the manufacturer of your rv to find out the material of the surface of your roof.

I have a 25 feet rv, how many gallons do I need? of the rubber roofing coating.

Asked by: concho78
1 gallon is designed to cover 125 sq. ft., ideally your roof will need to be measured to get the most accurate calculation. As an estimate, you are looking at 3.2 gallons of the acrylic coating based on a 25' x 8' roof and requiring 2 coats to be applied.
