Great Product-Some Difficulty Installing...
2012-Dodge Laramie 3500 Ram Truck.
Became instantly apparent the outer molding & inner wheel
well housing had to be removed to access the steel fuel line
inlet tube on main tank, (I do have the 1.5 inch fuel
fill line). Removed factory hose clamps, where the
rubber hose connects to the fuel neck coming off the main
fuel tank. Then, literately, had to cut the factory rubber
hose off to remove it. It is a tight fit. Note. If
at all possible, try to save the factory hose as it can be
reused in place
of the two 1.5 rubber hoses that are sent in the kit. This
hose has a factory bend molded into it. You will need a
straight chunk of hose to fit from the metal 1.5
pipe to
the fuel tank.. short as possible. You want
the 1.5 pipe touching the plastic neck of the tank inlet.
the outer hose (the hose that goes between the kit pipe and
the fill neck has to have almost a 30-40 degree bend to make
that connection. It is a very tight fit. That's why I say
use the factory hose if possible. Kit comes with two 1.5
clamps. You will need 4 total to make these connections.
After mounting the diesel tank, drill a 3/4 hole in the side
of the truck bed,
directly off and adjacent to the petcock of your auxiliary
tank. I used a key-hole saw bit. Makes a clean smooth cut.
Then remove any metal burs that might have remained from
cutting hole. Connect 1/4 ID hose, clamp both ends. One
clamp on each end is sufficient.
Reinstall wheel well/molding. Make sure fill caps
on both tanks are tightened until they ratchet or click
several times. Open petcock on auxiliary tank. You're
good to go.
Took me a good hour. My recommendation... If Camping World
does the
job for an installation fee, I'd just get them to do it,
depending on whether you have mechanical experience or not.
In conclusion... Great kit for the price. Good Sam Members
get a discount which really helps. Enjoyed the installation,
but did scrape a couple knuckles, but what fun would it be
if you didn't. Good Luck! Camp on!

Took 30 minutes, two cups of coffee, and one donut to install. Hooked up to a 40 gallon
tank, works great.
