Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this toilet Absolutely the most cheaply made product I've ever purchased. Flushed about 4 times after installation while I was installing it and checking for leaks. The pedal just turned loose and no longer worked the ball. In their favor though, Dometic sent me a new toilet immediately with no questions asked. The ball is a very thin plastic with a pivot point on each side. The ball would flex because it was so thin and come out of its socket where it was attached to the flush lever. There is just a very small, thinly made square end on the pivot point which mates with a corresponding square hole on the flush lever. They were not fastened together in any way and would simply separate when the lever was actuated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great with a 3rd party replacement valve The toilet is great and the height is welcome for folks with more limited mobility. However Dometic's engineers need to redesign their flush valve. The OEM valve almost always has a little residual water and at the same time is sensitive to freeze conditions. It looked like valve replacement (which is not easy unless you completely dismount the toilet) was going to be an annual thing. After two replacements, I found a 3rd party replacement valve using different materials that is far more freeze tolerant and comes with a robust warranty. And it cost less than the OEM replacement part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely terrible!! Every time I walk into my bathroom to shower/ use the toilet water pours from underneath the toilet flooding my floors! If I don’t catch it quick enough it floods into the kitchen of my camper. I have to carry extra towels with me on my trips just for this reason. Your toilet shouldn’t ever be your biggest concern when you’re trying to relax! I understand it needs a valve to be replaced but the correct fit part i need is nearly impossible to find. People advertise the part for this series but after 4 purchases and neither worked....I’m going to have to replace my toilet AGAIN.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New version is best on the market I threw away my new Aqua Magic Plus and went back to buy this one. This one has a true full rim flush, deep enough bowl for men to use, and the foot pedal is back on the side where it is much easier to flush. Thank you Dometic for designing something that actually works well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't remove the pedal. Installed the 311 low profile series just over two years ago and the ball valve would not close all the way unless you pulled up on the pedal. I thought I would remove the spring loaded pedal and lubricate all the flush parts with silicone to solve the issue. You can't reinstall the pedal with the spring. Am having to flush buy hand and lift the pedal back up. Even Dometic has told me the pedal can not be reattached. Poor design. Will now have to purchase a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Very happy with the purchase of the Dometic 310 toilet. It Was delivered quickly and in good shape. Installation was easy replacing an older Thetford unit. A couple of fittings for the new water connection location and it was up and running. The residential size bowl and seat are a welcome addition. I did notice in using it that in closing the valve after a flush there is a slight water “bang” noise that other reviewers mentioned as well. It is not loud enough though to bother us and I would not give it a negative review because of this, just something to be aware of when considering this unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy! We bought the Dometic 310 for our camp trailer and have probably flushed it maybe 200-300 times and the foot pedal quit working so the toilet flap remains open. We have a toy hauler that is 13 years old and used considerably more and have never had a problem with that toilet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective product and horrible customer service I’ve only had this toilet a month and it barely gets used. It no longer holds water and I now have to spend $27 on a new flush ball seal. Called camping world to see why it wouldn’t hold water and the lady said “that sounds like a personal problem” on the phone. Will NOT be shopping here again.

Will the 310 dometic fit in the same footprint of a thretford auqua magic v ?

Asked by: geneo
Dometic's 310 and Thetford's Aqua Magic V have the same minimum space requirements and have the same bolt pattern for installation. However, the base footprints are different as well as the location of the water valve. I highly recommend you review the installation manual for the 310 model toilet to determine if it is an appropriate replacement toilet. Can this toilet replace an Aqua Magic V model number 31649?

Asked by: Jenny
I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH THAT MODEL BUT THE DRAIN HOLES AND MOUNTING HARDWARE ARE ALL THE SAME. I HAD TO REROUTE THE WATER LINE ON AN OLDER MONTANA FIFTH WHEEL.

I have a 1976 Airstream Land Yacht and need to replace the toilet. Will this toilet fit as a replacement? I do not have the owners manual to look up the specs.. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Asked by: Robin
Unfortunately, we do not have a reference system that will identify what components were installed for a specific RV year/make/model while at the factory. A replacement toilet can be recommended If you can provide the make and model number of the toilet currently installed. On Dometic toilets, the label is usually on the backside of the unit. Using a mirror to help see the label or using the front-facing camera on a phone can be used in finding the label. On Thetford toilets, please refer to the manufacturer FAQ: https://www.thetford.com/customer-support/faq/permanent-toilets-faq/#answer-11 An alternative option is to refer to the installation/owner's manual for the Dometic 310 toilet(linked below), which has the required space measurements printed inside of it. https://epi.dometic.com/externalassets/dometic-310_9108923941_78798.pdf

Is this made of plastic or porcelain?

Asked by: Uncle Mike from Upstate
This is a Great RV Toilet! The interior and exterior bowl is porcelain and the lower pedestal at bottom along with petal is plastic. The seat is out of a solid heavy wood type material and not that flimsy plastic that most have. To top it off....the seat is a soft close, no more slamming in the middle of the night.
