Dometic Convection Microwave with Black Trim Kit is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Convection function is a joke This is ok as a microwave. We have a microwave convection oven at home and love it. Our new to us motorhome does not have an oven, so we wanted this to use as the oven. The settings are ridiculous. Who cooks at those preset temps...nobody. There is not even a way to change the settings to a temp that is used in most recipes. Customer Service was useless as none of them have ever used the oven function, only the microwave. So how can they help you? Forget the manual, it in itself is pitiful...just a couple of directions.....nothing to help with trouble shooting. There is more information on the box than the photocopied manual. Would not recommend to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price Received it yesterday and tried it out. Seems to be a good unit. I only gave it 4 stars because the documentation in the box did not include installation instructions - but Camping World has the documentation as a pdf file. I am installing this in a 10 year old motorhome to replace a Dometic microwave - fit looks okay. The Dometic web site has no information about this unit - what a way to run a business. For the price ($179.99), this is a better buy than buying a Dometic microwave.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dreaded F-5 error code Garbage. Looks great, but you will get the F-5 error code which means replace. No repair, replace. We used ours for three years, vacationing as normal families do, a couple of trips a year and stored in a heated garage. Very well maintained. Convection just dies, messes with your units entire electrical system, and no way to repair. Ours was an over the range unit and could not even be used twenty times...those are expensive meals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dometic Micrwave CONVECTION Oven I did not have a standard installation so it took some time to install..I had to cut some cabinet trim and then cut(adapt) the sheet metal rear baffle to fit in my unit. After doing all this the Microwave looks great.I did a few simple things to test it and so far its OK. My small RV lacks an oven so putting in a Convection oven with the microwave is a huge plus. The price seemed good considering you get both appliances.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great, but very noisy using convection I really like the way it looks. I had to modify my cabinet quite a bit to accommodate this unit. The microwave portion is great, but the convection portion was disappointing. It's extremely noisy, so much so that I took the first one back and exchanged it. The replacement is just as noisy, so I don't use it often on convection. I was surprised, as the unit (different brand) in my Dad's RV is very quiet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dometic Convection Microwave it took some time to install..I had to cut some cabinet trim and then cut (adapt) the sheet metal top and rear baffle to fit in my unit. After doing all this, the Microwave looks great. I did a few simple things to test it and so far its OK. The size on the description did not match the actual dimensions needed for this oven. It is a bit larger, both wider and taller.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not much choice After extensive search, this was the only microwave convection oven that would fit my cabinet. I hesitated about buying it, especially since no one seemed to have a model out of box to personally inspect. The convection temperature selections make no sense to me: 230F, 265F, 285F, up to a 390F. I used an oven thermometer to figure out just how hot the oven really got. To bake cookies that require 400 degrees, I used 320 or 340 and cooked just a little longer than called for so as not to be too done on the outside while the center was still gooey, still at the lower temps, dishes don't rise like they should. I do not like the heating element in the top of the oven, nowhere on the box did it mention such an element. The owners guide is pretty much a joke. My old oven was 17 years old, but I should have taken it in to see if it could have been saved. Gave this 2 stars because it was easy to install and the microwave works appropriately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We love the Microwave Excellent product, love it, except for the trim kit which is poorly designed. It should not be screwed to the microwave as it makes installation very difficult. The microwave should be anchored to the cabinet first and the trim attached as a separate item. Also the trim is made from recycled tin, should be a good quality molded plastic.

Will this fit into a Winnebago ERA 2012 existing space. Will the existing wiring work with this unit?

    Asked by: Gary
We cannot confirm fit based on RV make/model, the cabinet or cutout will have to be measured to confirm fit of this microwave. This microwave plugs into a 120VAC power outlet like at a residential home.

Does the convection/microwave oven need exhaust kit?

Can they exhaust into the rv or do they need to exhaust out?
    Asked by: Wolfe man
The trim kit comes with an air baffle to direct the exhaust. The 'exhaust' is circulated back into the RV, it does not need to be vented outside as it is not dangerous fumes.
