The trim is shorter than previous trims - it's only 4 1/2" high. Be sure to check to see if this is enough. (It was not for mine. I had to pay $45 to buy a longer trim piece.)

A replacement lid has to be purchased if you want a different 'color'. We have an opaque white replacement listed as SKU#61043. For a clear lid, our Technical Service Department @ 800.622.6264(M-F, 8:00-5:00 CST) can special order it as part# K1020-00 from the manufacturer.

I'm trying to purchase a unit that has a fan and heating unit
No, a heating element cannot be added to the fan vent. At this time, the only way to get a heating element in a vent configuration is to install a rooftop A/C that has the ability to add a heat strip or is a heat pump model which has heating & cooling ability.
