Item not as shown in photos
Great, except the shelves and door bins are not as shown in photo. Purchased unit in September 2014 and what was delivered was not as shown. One less shelf than shown and only one shelf has the pop up guard that keeps items from falling out. The door bins are not clear as shown. I contacted Camping World Customer Service and was told they were waiting for a new picture from Dometic. I guess they are still waiting! Customer Service did have an additional shelf shipped, but said the clear door bins and shelves as shown were not available. Refrigerator works fine and replacement went well. I was just disappointed in the differences in the picture and actual product.

Replacement Fridge- I did it myself!
Greetings! Two years ago I joined the ranks of RV owners- I bought an '06 Airstream trailer.
Soon after I learned about the buying hobby that goes with ownership. The Dometic in my
camper was on its last leg involved in a recall that damage had already happened and, I
inherited it. So, this fall I purchased one of these units and installed it as the supposed new
direct replacement. It fit and I knew that it did not come with inserts. The surprise came
when I put the handles on and could not open the doors! The old 2662 unit had handles
that stuck out from the door surface while this new unit has recessed handles on the side.
Around the side of my fridge there is an oak raised trim. I had to cut out my trim to allow for
door operation. Everything else is OK. BTW, domestic offers a three year extended warranty
for $189. I took it.

Great Replacement
I have had this unit installed in my motorhome for close to two years now. I do not have
many complaints about it. It works very well and the larger capacity is wonderful. It appears to me that Dometic equally split the additional
one square foot between both (freezer and refrigerator) compartments.
Please note: the control buttons (on/off, temp level and Auto/LP) are not accessible
while the doors are in the closed position. You have to open the freezer door to change
a setting.
If you need to convert the doors to open (right to left) you will need to also order the
conversion kit at the same time you place the order with camping world. They will send
the kit to you along with the new refrigerator.
Over all, this is a great unit and I would recommend it to a friend.

BEWARE
Heads up on this frige. Ships with NO door panels. That's an additional order and cost. Also, if you want a left hand door, better order the door hinge reversing kit at additional cost. You'll need to install the door reversing kit before you install the frige in
you unit. Mine shipped with missing door moulding to secure the missing door panels. That's a call to Dometic. Be prepared to wait forever for them to answer the phone.

3762 panels
The parts guy said my old refrigerator panels would fit the new refrigerator. The freezer panel is too small, and the refrigerator door too big, which I can cut down. But, the top looks terrible. Guess I’ll make another 130 mike round trip to get new panels that fit. I was changing a Dometic 7 cu ft with a Dometic 7 cu ft.

Beware the door is not reversible
I thought I had ordered the correct side for the hings but when I got it, the frig openned the wrong way. There is no left and right model, so there is no way to know if you ordered
wrong or the wrong one was shipped.

Great Replacement with a Caveats
I almost gave this refrigerator 5 stars, for its increased capacity, adjustable temperature control, and the digital temperature readout. But it does not automatically try to reignite the gas burner when it blows out. It just displays
an error code and you have cycle the power to get it to reignite. Now for the caveats. The 7 Cu Ft refrigerator does indeed fit in the same cabinet opening that the 6 Cu Ft Americana does, but to get the extra volume, the doors are not
recessed into the cabinet as the Americana is, so the doors stick out a few inches. The doors are also a bit wider since they are not recessed. In our camper, this means that the refrigerator door does not swing open all of the way as the Americana did. It hits the dinette bench. Fortunately, it does open far enough not too be a great problem accessing everything, except the crisper nearest to the door cannot be pulled all the way out. Also, since the door exteriors are not the same size, the old door panel inserts will not work. Not a big problem, except in my case the cabinetry is
whitewashed oak and Dometic does not offer inserts in this finish. Fortunately, I am a woodworker and was able to make
my own inserts that match. Keep these issues in mind when thinking about replacing your old Americana 6 Cu Ft and you have a similar situation.

What are the specs on this u it? My husband said he needs the dimensions of the unit
Overall Dimensions: 54-3/4"H x 25-5/16"W x 26-1/16"D
Recess Dimensions: 53-3/4"H x 23-11/16"W x 24"D

What is the average daily LP gas usage on this Dometic New Generation RM3762 2-Way Refrigerator, Double Door, 7.0 Cu. Ft?
According to manufacturer specs, this refrigerator's power consumption on gas is 1501.28 BTU/h.
So based on this burn rate, the refrigerator would use 1 gallon of propane in a rough estimate of 58 to 60 hours if the burner is on nonstop.
Providing a more accurate estimate is not possible as outside temperature, humidity, elevation, set temperature of the refrigerator, temp of the contents inside the refrigerator, number of times the refrigerator is open etc. all affect how often the refrigerator turns on and off.

What are the dimensions? Why does no one put the dimensions on the specs?
