Two-Step Econo Porch
We purchased the two step with porch ...actually three steps to get upon the porch. It could be that I missed the photo of what we got as what was shown it the one step. At first, it was a bit hard to setup but after spraying on some lubricant at all moving points, it made the assembly a breeze for both up to use and folding down for transporting in the back of our truck. I estimate it takes about ten minutes time for either position. Our Econo Porch is used on our RV pad here at home and on all our camping trips. As for its construction, very sturdy and well built. I highly recommend this GREAT addition.

Worth the money!
I really like the steps. They are shallower than the ones on the RV I have. It is much easier to climb the steps with my bad knee. I haven't attached the handrail yet, because the folding one I have on the side of my RV right now is sufficient on these steps which are much more stable. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the spaces between the steps aren't uniform. There's a slightly larger step down from the second step to the third step. It would be nicer if the distances were all equal. I really like the extra large top Step, which you refer to as a deck.
These steps were absolutely worth the money.

HEAVY duty
These things are heavy duty...emphasis on heavy. The package total weighed 60 pounds (can't image dealing with
the larger 3 step version). I'm a relatively strong 45 year old, 180 lb male and can barely pick up just the steps (without the hardware and railing even attached). They're quite awkward. Seems they could have cut a few weight relieving holes in the steps, without any detriment to
sturdiness. Not really portable, in a practical sense (unless you're a 250 lb body builder). Unfortunately,
there's not much other choice in these type of steps, but these are definitely 100% American made, big time quality
that could last a hundred years or more through all weather conditions...hard to find this kind of construction anymore.

Rust
I've had these stairs for less than 3 months and they're already rusting out. There's rust on the top step (started within the first week in a low traffic spot) most of the support structure is rusted now too.

Very nice
The stairs are very nice and sturdy. We got the two step model and it fits our Jayco perfectly, Just what we needed to live in this Jayco through the winter ( It keeps us from slipping when we step in and out of our trailer in the snow).
I did have one gripe. The packaging was torn when it arrived, but nothing seemed to be damaged except the screws and bolts were missing. The bolt package was securely taped to the frame but it looks like someone deliberately took out the bolts and nuts. I had to go the hardware store and buy another set for about $5.
Now that that has been fixed, I am very happy. However, I haven't figured out a way to easily store the stairs when we are on the move but it looks like they will fit through the door.

fall no more
My wife and I are semi-retired and both disabled with a
tendency to fall. We live full time in our motor home and
stay near Eire PA in the summer and San Antonio TX in the
winter. We enjoy traveling in the spring and fall. For our
our long seasonal stops these steps are great. The assembly
was almost done by themselves. A friend made a wooden free
standing platform which bolted to and extended the landing.
We turned the steps to the side of our coach with the
railing on to outside. Now we can safely negotiate the steps
with no fear. There are plenty of strong handholds and we
feel very stable. The steps and landing have a full
granulated surface for sure footing. They will fit nicely in
our box trailer with our golf cart and automobile. All I
need to do is to detach the railing and the landing
extension. They are very sturdy but light enough that I can
handle them by myself. Thank you for such a wonderful, safe
product. I have already recommended this product and will
continue to do so.

More than we hoped for.
We own a Starcraft travel trailer and have been using the slide out steps which work fine except my wife had a stroke recently and it was very difficult for her to get in and out of the trailer with the provided steps. This product went way past what we were hoping for as it is much easier for her to enter and exit the trailer now. A great product but needs better packaging as it was pretty beat-up when it came UPS. I would highly recommend this product even if persons don't have issues moving around.

Well Made Steps
These steps are extremely well made and quite sturdy. The
steps make it much easier to get in and out of our coach,
well worth the cost. As the last reviewer mentioned, they
are quite heavy but that's the price of being well made to
last a long time.

I understand the steps are 27" wide and 21" high. How deep are they?
I don’t have them here to measure, however; they are at least 18 inches wide. You can easily stand on them. We use them for and Airstream and they have been life changing. We put 2 of these together with 1 handrail and they have been wonderful. It is very nice to step out onto a solid top step, which is wider than the other 2. It was a good purchase for us.

What are the measurements of these steps when folded for travel. Will they fit through a 20 inch door.
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not have access to those dimensions at the moment, but they do have the dimensions of the box that it is shipped in. Those dimensions are 35” x 47” x 5”, so the product is close to that size folded.

Do you make a version with 11" treads to meet current building code minimum stair run? Do you make a wider version, say 48"?
No, the only other version we carry is a taller 3-step model listed as SKU# 37120. The step width and depth is the same between the two porch steps.

If I leave the steps unfolded all the time, will it remain stableon the floor? Also, can I remove the handrail?
Yes, the steps will remain stable on the floor.
Yes, the hand rail can be removed as the handrail bolts to the step assembly via predrilled holes on the left or right side.

Powder coated steel.

Do you know if the manufacturer makes a similar model but with casters for easy moving?
The steps will not be taken on the road in my situation. They will be kept permanently in a very large garage where the trailer spends 11 months a year. While parked in the garage, we use it a lot for visitors. When the trailer is on the road, I'd like to be able to easily roll it out of the traffic area.
No, Stromberg Carlson does not have a variation of the Econo Porch with wheels attached.
