Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should be standard with every RV We have a 5th wheel and the factory fold up/down stairs are steep and hard to climb for us older people and our dogs. We bought these and couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. I have a bad knee and waltz right up these. I bought pins and use them instead of the bolts, and we only use 4 of them. We don't put them in all the steps. Just the top one, and bottom one. These fold flat, but are kind of heavy and awkward for one person to lift and put in truck bed, or storage bay of 5er. Now that we have them, we will never be with out. We are not full timers, but RV it very often. We got ours on sale for 279 here at camping world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from econo porch step I looked all over for a 4 or five step porch that was light weight. My wife is handicapped and we ended up having one made. My new porch step is 4 steps at 4 apart, 20 high.. Zeiglers welding in Olympia made them for me. They weight 26 pounds and are made of alumanum. Why can't camping world have something like what I had made, light weight, and low cost?. Mine cost me $425 but are well worth it as they are so light weight and can handle weight in excess of 350 pounds. They look like camping worlds but are much lighter

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor packaging I should have paid attention to the reviews. Steps were to arrive on the 13th of Feb. I received a call from UPS on 2-14-12 saying that the package was in pieces and that I needed to come to UPS to see if all the parts were there. I will do so. What upsets me the most is that after reading reviews I e-mailed Stromberg Carleson asking if their packing had improved since last reviews, they assured me that it had. The nearest Camping World is 150 miles away. How do I return the product and at whose cost? R. Hood

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, Terrible packaging The product performed as expected, but the packaging was an utter disaster and I am echoing another reviewer's earlier complaint. I photographed the package and minor cosmetic damage to the product if Camping World would like to address this repeating issue with their supplier. I had to purchase all of the hardware as it had fallen out of the holes in the box and the instructions were stuck to the packing tape in a way that prevented removal without ripping up the paper. On the product side, the workmanship was good, holes lined up for the stabilizing struts. The product is a bit cumbersome and heavy to move around, but most should be assembling and leaving in place. This is not designed to tote around and be used as assistance for mobility challenged folks from campsite to campsite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Econo Porch 3-Step Very pleased with our Econo Porch 3-steps. Ordered them on Feb. 25th and delivered on March 4th one week from KY to OR. I have read about poor packaging but ours came in good shape. Easy to put together and worked great. We are camp hosts so we are set up for at least a month at a time. They sure make getting into and out of the trailer so much better and safer. I would recommend them to anyone. Well worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very poor packaging The box the steps comes in is awfull. The bolts to put it together we gone. If you buy this product plan on going to the hardware store to buy hardware. The box was torn all to pieces and the hardware was gone and the steps were all scratched up. Saw a previous reviw before buying and it had the same write up. Guess no one reviews the reviews at camping world because the issue is ongoing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product Solid steps, with the top "landing" making it very safe. They are not something you want to put up and take down with each night's camping, though, more like if you are going to be somewhere longer than a couple of days . . . not really portable & mobile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Econo 3-step The Econo step is great choice if you feel you need the added security in climbing the steps into your 5th wheel trailer. Lets face it, for a high trailer the factory steps with only 3 steps is not the easiest too climb for us older folks. The econo steps we purchased has 3 steps and a nice platform at the top. My wife and I handle them easy when folded and placed in our trailer. The steps weigh around 60 lbs and are easy to brace with the screws and nuts included. One side of the braces are preinstalled and the rail is attached with 2 screws and nuts. The packaging is done by Stromberg Carlson and is poor quality for a large package weighing 60lbs. UPS sent my first set back as damaged and Camping World sent another set of steps. The second box was damaged and open in places. The steps were scratched but we decided to keep them as they were being used outside and will get scratched more from use. Hopefully they will improve their packaging for shipping. The folks at Camping World are great to deal with and go out of their way to see you are satisfied.

Does it come apart for packing?

Asked by: Anonymous
This is fully assembled from the manufacturer but folded. Nuts and bolts are included to secure the braces that keep it upright. Tools would be needed to extract the bolts to fold it back down after it has been set up for use.

Do you have steps that have 400 lb limit?

Asked by: Anonymous
We have platforms like SKU#38293 that have a higher weight capacity, but not in the same style as the EconoPorch. You can check with Hofmann RV Products for stairs and platforms that have a 1,000+ lbs. weight capacity.
