Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Tent This is one of the few tents where the zipper goes (nearly) all the way to bottom of the tent. I like this feature because it allows for better air flow than most of the tents out there on the market. The negative of the tent is the rainfly. While I didn't test the rainfly for rain, I did put it on because there was a 50% chance of rain that night. With the rainfly on, the tent got quite stuffy, even when I opened the sides up to allow more airflow. The good news is that I am confident that if it rains, the rainfly will keep you dry! Everything else about the tent I liked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tent I purchased both the Midori 2 Basecamp and the Midori 2 (2018) as each had pros/cons. After comparing, this is the one to get. The new design does have a little less interior floor space, but the additional headroom, vestibule, and door all while only adding a couple ounces of weight is worth the tradeoff. This thing almost puts itself up; easily done by yourself with everything color-coded to prevent those annoying mistakes. Slept in it by myself for a weekend Scouting event, and there was plenty of room for me and my gear. Plan to take it backpacking with my son, and there will be plenty of room for us inside, but most gear will probably be tucked away in the dual vestibules. For this price you cannot beat the size, weight, and features! Biggest complaint is finding Eureka foot prints is difficult, but that is not the tent's fault!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, great value Purchased this several months ago, just now had an opportunity to use it. Camping in Texas during the summer is all about keeping cool - the Midori 2 has ample ventilation thanks to it's mostly screen construction. Have not had a chance to use the rainfly yet, but discovered it fits well during my initial set up after delivery. The four pockets and included gear loft provide great storage for items that tend to get lost under gear. Setup is a breeze with the clips and color coded poles. Cozy for two people, spacious for one - the Midori 2 is an outstanding tent for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome tent i bought one 3 months ago after a grand canyon trip this summer had me wanting a good full screen tent for desert camping. i’ve used it several times on cub scout outings in cold temps and this thing rocks. light, so easy to set up, great ventilation, and the fly makes it bomb proof. its not a four season tent but it will keep you dry in a downpour and easily sleeps 2 people. for the price it rivals my dated yet still incredible moss astraldome. i like it so much i bought a second one and gave both away to each of my kids because they are so easy to set up and now that each child has one daddy doesnt have to worry about setting up tents anymore. i plan to take it to tetons this summer and see how it handles mountain weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Beginner Tent! I bought the 2017 Midori 2 for my first tent for field season. I did about 2 moths of research before I settled on the Midori. I used this tent ~3 times every week for 3 months. I never had a problem with the seams (which happened in the OutdoorGearLab review). I chose this tent because it was affordable, lightweight enough to be used as a backpacking tent (which I did use on my first backpacking trip in the Wind River Range!), but sturdy enough to be used every day in backcountry camping experiences. I used it Wyoming, where it withstood the winds and storms and kept me safe and dry. It was pretty easy to set up also. I used the rainfly every time and that was also quality material. I am 5tf 5in and spent most of my time alone. The Midori 2 was perfect for me + my backpack. The Vestibule was also large enough for my backpack + other gear. The one thing that I did not like about the tent was the pole that was used in the vestibule. I thought it was unnecessary and made packing it up annoying. Also, the tent is a 2 person, but I would recommend that you're pretty comfortable with whoever is sleeping in there with you becuase it will be snug. Overall, I am extremely happy with this tent. It is a great beginner tent that can be used for backpacking and car camping and anything in between! You will be getting your moneys worth with this durable, lightweight tent

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup, cozy for 2, great value! I did extensive online research and polling of 10+ friends and family members who are also avid backpackers and campers before settling on the Midori 2 for my Alaska trip this May. I was mostly comparing to top-rated backpacking tents, and I was torn between this Midori 2, the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL 2, and the REI Half Dome 2 Plus. Although I had several friends recommend the REI tent for the slightly bigger size to house 2 plus gear or the Big Agnes for portable size/weight, I ultimately chose the Eureka as an in-between size/weight option for half the price. I was very happy with it during our Alaska trip. My girlfriend and I (5’4” and 6’) both slept very comfortably inside with Sea-to-Summit large and regular Comfort Plus pads, and our packs fit easily in the vestibule areas. The tent setup and tear down is incredibly easy as other reviewers highlight. The cover plus footprint kept us warm and dry (don’t forget to open the top vent or your breath will create a moisture canopy by the morning). We didn’t get to test it in the rain yet, but I’m confident we would have stayed dry. The only thing I would recommend is buying some nice tent stakes. As some mentioned, the stock ones that come with it are the lightweight but very bendy aluminum ones that will not hold in rocky soil well. Overall, will highly recommend the tent!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome tent, a bit heavy I really like this tent, but I highly suggest getting new tent stakes. Also, it is a bit heavy, but it's super roomy and as a 6' guy I fit in it with a partner with room to spare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ditching My Other Backpacking Tents For This! Eureka! was kind enough to send me the Midori tent in exchange for a review. The Midori tent is a backpackers dream. Two door access makes it really easy for you to get in and out with out disturbing your partner. The rainfly creates a vestibule to store your gear outside your tenting giving you more room to sleep. High quality material with solid poles and easy setup make this a dream tent for backcountry backpacking. And its light!
