Rated 5 out of 5 by from Midori 3 I purchased the Midori 3 for my wife and I to use on the river while rafting. On the raft we don’t have to worry so much about weight but the extra room is nice for the extra gear. The 2 vestibules work great for dry bags and shoes and keeps us from have to crawl over each other. The improvement from the original designed midori 3 is a major plus with the extra top pole. We got the original by accident and set it up then sent it back and got the new design huge difference! This is our second eureka tent and have had nothing but good experiences with them. Highly recommend this tent as a 2-3 season tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very lightweight and water resistant! I bought this tent to replace a cheap 3 man I have. The zipper quality is great on the midori and I love the double vestibule design with the vent system. The tent is very easy to set up, as with any 3 man tent sleeping 3 normal adults will be tight. Only 2 complaints are the tent floor is very thin but that's to be expected, I just use the foot print designed for it. Additionally my Midori 3 did not come with enough stakes to fully steak down the rain fly, I was 4 stakes short when I was trying to fully steak out the rain fly. Luckily my buddy had 4 extra ones for his tent because I did not try to stake out the tent until the first time I took it canoe camping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another quality Eureka tent I started using Eureka tents as a Boy Scout, and have purchased 5 Eureka tents over the last 30+ years as a Boy Scout leader, for backpacking, family camping, or summer camp. I plan to use the Eureka Midori in the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park among other places. I have made the mistake of purchasing another brand as a family tent, and it did not last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nicely designed, good features, moderate cost I do some backpacking with my son, and we chose the Midori 3 after borrowing a co-worker's similar Eureka Sunriver 3 for our first trip together last year and liking it a lot. This is not an ultralight tent by any stretch, but it's lighter than either of our regular car camping tents, and we split the tent, poles and footprint (which I bought separately) between our packs and we do just fine. We maybe carry 3-4 lbs apiece and it's well worth the slight weight penalty to have the space for two somewhat-taller-than-average guys plus gear. In addition, the cost was very reasonable; you could spend hundreds more just to save a couple of pounds and I worry about the fragility of some materials in true ultralight tents. One thing I really like about this tent vs. a typical dome (or the similar Sunriver 3, even) is the ridge pole, which vaults the ceiling out for more headroom and makes the walls that contain the doors almost vertical, for better protection when unzipping the vestibule flaps in the rain. As with the Sunriver, the fittings on this tent seem superior to others I've owned, and setup is super easy. I love the color-coding of the corner clips so you're not guessing which end of the fly you're attaching. Bottom line - we've had a great start with this tent and are looking forward to using it a lot more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value tent -- worked well on first outing Just took two of these tents on a canoe camping trip in the Adirondacks. Set up was easy due to color-coded clips that match poles and fly. We were two persons per tent, and had plenty of room; a third person could easily have fit as well. I like the fact that there is a door on either side, so it's easy to get out without disturbing your companions. We had a steady rain the first night, but stayed perfectly dry inside. Vestibules also provided good gear storage out of the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bigger than the specs! Bought the Midori 3 to replace a 35 year old Timberline. I was impressed with the floor size of the Midori and the doors are huge making it easy to get in & out. With 4 pockets and a gear loft, it will be easy to keep the inside free from clutter. Great tent for the cost!
