Just what I wanted and needed. Getting up in age and sometimes need the little extra step to get to that first step. When not usin...g it with the camper, am using it as a first step to get from garage into the house. My sister-in- law really likes that. I am impressed by the quality! Its usage will out live me.
We chose this folding platform step for our travel trailer because of its large platform. It is heavy, well-built and works perfec...tly in either of the two heights. The non-slip top provides extra safety too. We are very glad that we purchased this folding step....and it was on sale!
This is an essential part of my camping set up in that the bottom step on our motor home usually makes for a long step
to the gro...und. The unit is well built, not too heavy and easily stored in the storage bin right next to the motor
home door. I like this unit so much that I immediately ordered a new one when I discovered (200 miles later) that I
had left the first one I purchased at the RV park in Grants Pass, Oregon.
This is a very compact and sturdy step that really eases entry and exit of the motor home. My two small dogs haven't
yet become ...accustomed to the new step and are a bit fearful of it. They try to avoid stepping on it prior to contacting
the first step of the motor home, even though it makes it easier for them to get in and out of the coach. As for us
humans, we really appreciate the convenience of not having to stretch and pull oneself up onto the first step of the
motor home, using the grab bar. After you've hit 65, and have grown a pot belly, such little conveniences mean a lot.
After an extensive internet search, it was found that Camping World had the best price on this product.
This step is certainly rugged enough for even the heaviest load that may be placed upon it. However, this makes it
quite heavy si...nce it is made of steel. A strong but lighter metal would be an improvement, but no doubt this would
increase the price. When I first started using this product, I noticed some bubbles in the no-slip surface that
was glued on the step. This shows sloppy workmanship and should have been corrected at the factory. I managed to
deflate the bubbles by pricking them with a pin and letting
the air out. We'll see if this is a good long-term
solution. My concern is that water might intrude and cause
rust -- we'll see.
I actually purchased this for my sister. I had purchased the same item 2 years ago and she saw it, used it and liked it. It really... comes in
handy for us, the grandkids, and the bulldog.
It may be heavy, but it's well worth it.
I had my 5th wheel trailer lifted 4 inches to accomodate my 4X4 and this step filled in the space between my bottom step and the ...ground perfectly! It is solid, lightweight, easy to store, and has a wide platform for stepping on. It made all the difference on our last trip between a happy wife and an unhappy wife. I prefer a happy mama!
I absolutely love this stool. The reason I purchased it was two-fold. 1) To help this 71 year old enter and exit her travel tra...iler; 2) to help people enter and exit my SUV. When not camping, I keep it in the back of my SUV and it comes in so handy for helping seniors get in and out of my high profile vehicle.
The stool is light enough for me to lift in and out often. It is sturdy and I love the
adjustability to two different heights.
Would I recommend this purchase to others: Absolutely...a 5-star item.
My wife and I are especially very satisfied with this step. At full height it provides just
the right amount of makeup space fr...om the ground to the first step of our camper. The
large surface size is exactly what you would need so as not to be worried about missing
the step , especially when coming down the stairs. We very much like the sturdy
construction, heavy and well made. We haven't actually used it at the lower height (with
the legs folded in), but have tested it this way and it is solid and steady. The only
improvement we could suggest is to put a carpet type cover on the top instead of the
non-slip surfacing, understand that the manufacturer has to be more concerned about
safety. It is only a suggestion and is really a non-issue. We looked at many steps for
this purpose, because our first step from the ground is a little high for us and we would
highly recommend this step to anyone. Stromberg/Carlson is a quality company.
We are very happy with the quality of this product. It is well built and provides a very stable platform for both entry and exit t...o our RV. The product is definitely a good value. The non-skid surface works well. The only negative to the non-skid surface is it also collects leaves, etc. that stick to the surface. I guess this is really an added bonus; it helps reduce what gets tracked into our RV! I would definitely purchase the product again and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a way to reduce the step height into their RV.
This has been a wonderful addition to our travel trailer for those times when the last step is really high. I like the sturdinous ...of the product. I grandson even likes it for a seat or to play with his toys when not in use at the door.
My standard trailer step depth is too small for a size 11.5 foot. When I step out, there just isn't enough area
without sometimes... catching a heel and shooting my foot offthe front of the step. The generous area of the platform
gives me a stable, non-skid surface to safely land on.
We have a 5th wheel, but 80% of the time we need a little extra lift. This step is the perfect ticket, not only for us,but for our do...g! It is very stable and easy to fold up and also to use it at both height adjustments.
We purchased this step to make it easier and safer to get into our Roadtrek 190 Popular.
It is on a Chevrolet van chassis, and t...he standard steps are very narrow. This item is
made from heavy steel, and it is hard to find a good storage place. Our unit has
the deluxe bathroom and we put it there on the end. It seems well constructed and the non-
skid surface is an added safety feature.
This step gives you a very secure feeling when you step up on it. Very sturdy and has a big area to stand on. Folds up nicely and ...can be used with the legs folded or unfolded. Perfect fit for our needs.
Pros: Easy, Sturdy, Folds compactly, Does not rust
The dimension are:
24"L x 16"W (adjusts from 3 3/4"H to 8"H), and folds to 24"L x 16"W x 3 3/4"H
