Bilstein Gas Pressure Shocks feature single tube design and a patented rising-rate valving system to provide consistent wheel control over all road surfaces. Reduce porpoising, static sway and body lean and sway when cornering. Larger tube provides greater control and stability and operates at a lower temperature to extend shock life. Inside the shock, a floating piston separates high pressure nitrogen gas from the oil chamber to eliminate fluid "foaming" and shock fade. No check valves or springs to wear out.
