Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super happy Water heater wasn't too complicated for my father to install, even though this was a completely new installation. It takes a few seconds for the water to reach the faucet and it's exactly the temp we want it to be. We are very excited by this improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It!! I had this installed before I even took delivery of my trailer. I can't make it on 6/10 gallons of hot for a shower. Yes I like long showers. So of course I figured I would be emptying my grey tank often. What do you expect..it's tankless. I love the fact I set the temp for my shower and it's there. Yes I use a little water before it gets there. It's a big trailer.

How do you winterize it if leaving for an extended period?

Asked by: IDwanderer
It doesn’t need to be winterized - if you blow your lines out with air it’s done - no worry about the bypass etc.

Is the 12 V 3 A (36 W) power draw constant, or only when it's producing hot water?

Asked by: Aaron_c
Only when the unit is producing hot water. As a note, the supplied control panel will have a constant draw of 0.20 amps as the micro processor is always on. The manufacturer recommends installing an extra interior power switch or turning off the water heater circuit when putting the RV in storage or when needing to conserve power when dry camping.

Does it use propane and electric?  We want to use shore power when connected, propane when boon docking.

Asked by: Jkschil
This water heater uses propane to warm up water via burners while 12V electricity is required to power the control module & blower motor.

what is the SKU# for the trim ring and door that is sold separately

Asked by: bird74
For new installations and for replacing a Suburban 6 gallon water heater use the doors SKU# 115166 (White) or # 115167 (Black). The trim rings are listed as SKU# 115170 (White) and # 115171 (Black) and will only work with the 6 gallon 'Suburban model' doors. When replacing an Atwood 6 gallon water heater, use the doors listed as SKU# 115168 (White) or # 115172 (Black). If replacing a 10 gallon, Atwood or Suburban water heater, use the doors SKU# 115169 (White) or # 115173 (Black).

Is this rated for shower use ?

Asked by: Josh603

Will there be any problems using this in an opening of 16" × 16"? I have a 12 gallon suburban that needs to be gone. What all would I need to completely install without making additional runs to camping world as it is over 90 miles round trip.
