Rated 5 out of 5 by from gravity water dish this is a great product i used it to replace an old flip top filler. I can fill my water tank up now in a third of the time than before. I had to make the hole slightly larger but nothin a good pair of aviation snips can't handle went on very easy.

How to seal this item during installation

I just purchased this item and need some advice on how best to seal it against the wall of the trailer when I install it. Do you have a recommendation for any particular caulking or sealing material to place under the flange that gets tightened to the wall of the trailer? Should I use a standard silicon type caulking (like tub and tile) or would you recommend a non-leveling Dicor sealant? Thanks for the help.

You can use a putty(SKU#4698) or butyl(SKU#80296) tape under the flange of the gravity water fill to create a seal against the RV and mount holes. A standard caulk like you have mentioned is not likely to have additional UV stabilizers and longevity for exterior use. A non-sag sealant from Dicor or Superflex can be used since they can bond to various substrates. A high end silicone sealant like NuFlex 313 can even be used to seal the screw heads and perimeter of the flange.
