Carbon block cartridge traps protozoan cysts (cryptosporidium and giardia). One-micron filtration virtually eliminates sediment and significantly reduces other contaminants that produce bad taste and odor. High flow rate of 2.5 gpm and up to 10,000 gallon capacity. Radial flow design allows water to touch entire surface area of filter for better performance instead of channeling through or bypassing the filter. No carbon particles are released into water. 20-100 psi. Fits most 10" canister-type filter housings. USA.

HYDRO LIFE mod C-2471
My water was so strong with chlorine {from the camp ground} that it
burnt my eyes and the dogs wouldn't even drink it. Now its chlorine
free and tastes great. How ever because of such fine filtration and lots
of iron in the water it plugged up after only 20 days of use, which
means its doing its job well. In Canada it costs about $60 so I am
going to install a cheaper filter in front of it to remove most of the
sedement first and there by extending its life greatly. I would highly
recomend this filter cartridge to everybody.

Filtering is Good & Good filters cost $$$
1st thing, is that camping world's price is a good value for this filter.
( I thought it a bit high at first - but it is worth the extra $$$)
ALL of our RV water is filtered thru an inline system offered by Forest
River products. This model filter traps more stuff than other cheaper
models. We have stuck with it, changing the filter on average about
every 7 or 8 mos. There are other less expensive filters on the market,
but they were NOT as heavy duty as this one. Often campground
water systems have dirty water & bacteria that our bodies are not use
to ingesting. (I didn't want to filter out only 60-75% of bacteria-grit-dirt
using a cheaper filter to save $$$, I wanted 95-100% filtered out) The
last thing I want to be is sick because of nasty water-especially while
camping. Final point - I expected the water flow to reduce as the filter
got more & more clogged, but it did not. One minute it worked fine
with full water flow/pressure & the next minute it stopped cold. I now
carry a spare filter just in case.

Great Filter - Works on Forest River Travel Trailer
Like the previous poster, I too have a Forest River travel trailer. The original filter in it
was Flow Pur #CC1-10-Ca. The Hydro Life #C2471 (Camping World item #26383) is a
perfect match. I installed the Hydro Life filter without problem or incident.

Works Great
This filter was easy to install and works great. No off tastes in the water anymore and the
ice is coming out clearer. I like that it removes Giardia too as well as other 'bugs'. Try it.

Works Well
The filter seems to work well. The only complaint is that is definitely decreases the water pressure in the RV.
