Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great filter! We live in our RV, so this filter has had constant use for about a year, now. The water still tastes wonderful. Granted, we are on city water - not well water, so the filter has probably lasted longer than if we were on well water, or traveling across the country. The unfiltered tap water where we live doesn't take very good, even though it is city water. This filter makes the water taste wonderful. Our tea and coffee taste much better because the water is so clean. I highly recommend this filtration system. It is worth every penny you will spend to get it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't beat this filter A little pricey but you get what you pay for!! Takes all smells out of the Florida water. Before the filter shampoo wouldn't make a bubble. After the filter shampoo acted like it is supposed to. Rinsing with this filtered water leaves you feeling clean. We ended up taking the sink filter off because it is no longer needed. We save a bunch by doing that. Don't try to get cheaper! Sometimes it just isn't the same. Filter says it lasts a year but we only get about 9 months before water pressure starts to drop. (We are full time)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protect your investment This Hydro Life replacement core for the HL-200 whole house water filter system slows the accumulation of the white crust [calcium carbonate] that accumulates in my hot water tank, shower head, toilet, and faucets even though it is not rated for calcium removal. It removes many solids that can be picked up from old pipes and well water that can foul my water strainers with out pressure drop. A must to protect my plumbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sulpher smell and taste This is the best filter for getting that sulpher smell out of your water. I use it on the outside of my Grand Junction 5th wheel (which I live in full time) to filter the entire trailer. It is great for drinking and really helps the laundry, also helps prevent that orange stain in the bathroom. I replace mine every 3 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great As a full timer I travel a lot. I use a cheap filter where the water enters the RV to catch any larger particles of dirt and this one has a secondary filter. I wouldn't use any other kind. I didn't give it 5-stars simply because I feel it is overpriced! I change it once a year and so far I am very pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides good water I installed this on the water line going into the motorhome. Before using this filter in Mesa, AZ, we were drinking bottled water because of the taste and chlorine smell. This removed it all. Now I fill the tank and use only water that has been through the filter. It does the job and is definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydro Life-Water Filter System I have used this filtering system for two years now. This system works great, water has a good taste, and it provides a good flow so showers, etc. work well. May seem a little expensive at first but well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every Year Every year we buy this replacement water filter because it removes all the elements & also the odor that the tap on water may have. We could buy cheaper water filters but really like the Hydro Life Water Filter.

Is there a better replacement filter than the C2063

A filter that filter outs more?
Asked by: Michael
The C2063 actually filters out the widest variety of items in the water. You can try the C2471 filter, SKU#26383 or try SKU#56671. You can use a filter from just about any manufacturer as long it is designed to fit an exterior water filter housing of 10". If the above alternatives are still not to your liking, you may need to go to a specialized retailer of water filters, use a dual filtration system like SKU#60047, or add a second filter system such as an under sink model like SKU#4140 or 47903.

Can I reuses it season after season until it reaches 11,000 gallons.

I only camp a few times a year and when I winterize I remove the filters as required. Can this filter be dried out and reused year after year until I reach its 11,000 gallon filtration limit.
Asked by: Hoppy
It is possible to do so, but the worse the quality of the water passing through the filter, the sooner the filter needs to be changed regardless of how many gallons have passed through.

Are there any cross-over filters for this one?

Asked by: Anonymous
Item# 16008 fits in a 10" exterior housing labeled as a #5 filter. You can pretty much use any other brand marked #5 (like item# 57731) or filters listed as fitting a exterior 10" filter housing. However, in terms filters we sell that have the same filtration characteristics (Bacteria/Chemicals/Lead/Odor/Chlorine/Fungicides/Sediment/Iron/Mercury/Aluminum/Taste) Item# 56671 is the only other cartridge we have with the same filtration specs.

How many microns will it trap?

Asked by: Anonymous
The manufacturer's statement: The C2063 cartridge has 5 micron sediment pads built in to it. However, it is important for the customer to understand it’s the bacteriostatic filtration media that we use which addresses contaminants such as e-coli and salmonella types of bacteria, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, lime/scale, chemicals, chlorine and other contaminants.
