Features
The Hyperlite Droid Wakesurfer is a longboard-style surfer for behind the boat. The longboard volume makes this board ideal for the larger rider as increased volume creates lift, speed, and push. The longboard volume also ensures the Droid will perform well on all wake sizes including smaller-style waves. The Droid's tail shape and Tri-Fin setup deliver great maneuverability for such a large shape. Plant your foot on the tail for ripping turns or center yourself for that classic down the line longboard sensation. The Droid is big and fun.
Single-to-Double Concave
Channels water down the belly of the board transitioning to dual concave exiting tail.
Handmade Epoxy Construction
This epoxy wakesurfer is made using a polystyrene core which is coated with epoxy resin, similar to most ocean surfboard methods. Centered is Hyperlite's bamboo stinger, and a stronger fiberglass cloth is used to limit denting while handling airs in the wave.
Squash Tail Shape
A squarer back with rounded corners delivers a snappy feel with increased hold in the wave.
EPS Core
Expanded polystyrene foam provides a super lightweight and durable core.
Corduroy Machined EVA Traction
Ultra-grade EVA foam machined into subtle ridge shapes with a rough finish increases grip and hold.
