Better than expected
I bought two sets. One set for each of my back slide outs
which expand the living area.
I have been RVing for 11 years now and I wish I had
purchased these sooner. They really do the job and
stabilize the 5th wheel and prevent the side to side motion.
I have the 6 point auto leveler's which provide good
stability. But adding this product took the stability to
another level. No more swaying in high winds, it limits the
bouncing and rocking when someone walked or enters the RV.
Also very easy to install and take down, so it can be used
easily even if you move a lot as I do. I am really satisfied
with this product. I would recommend to anyone.

They do as advertised
We have a slider on our Rockwood hybrid and while moving around inside, it always
tended to shake. These stabilizers keep the unit stable now. They are easy to adjust in
height. There is a handle welded onto the nut that lifts the jack up and down. It can't be
removed unless
you take the unit apart. They're good investment. Made well and will last some time. Be
aware they are not for lifting. Just snug them up against the slider rails. If using them in
soft soil, you may want to put a wooden block under them to keep them from sinking in
the dirt/mud.

Jack-in-a-Box Slide-Out Stabilizers
After reading all of the reviews, I purchased a pair of these for my new 2019 travel trailer slide out. I am purchasing them for exactly what they are intended for; to stabilize my slide out. We have a seasonal campsite and leave our slide out open for extended periods of time. I want to be sure my slide out is securely stabilized so it does not get damaged since this is a brand new 2019 travel trailer. Also, I purchased them near the end of the season so I got them for almost half price.

Slide-Out-Stabilizers works great with movement
We are now full timers and used the stabilizers on our 2007 Montana.
We have 4 slides but have put the set on the biggest slide. We have
only had the stabilizers for a short time but already feel the difference
with the movement. We have a washer and dryer and it use to shake
pretty bad. This has helped a lot. It just feels more solid when you
walk. I think it will also help over time to keep the slide for sagging.
We are going to purchase sets for the TV/desk area and the kitchen
slide. I would give this product a A+... Debbie in California (formally
Missouri)

I feel safer with them then without them.
I am a rather large guy 350 lbs. My buddy who ones an older model
trailer told when he bought it the pop out bars were bent by the
previous owner because they did not use stabilizer. My wife and I just
purchased a 2007 Skyline 30' Weekend and I didn't want to
experience the same problems down the road. So I purchased the
stabilizers. They are great and a snap to install. I can now
comfortable sit on the couch or dinning room table and not have to
worry about my weight affecting the pop out. Great product! I highly
recommend it to others.

Easy to install
These stabilizers appear to be very sturdy, and were easy to install. Due to the fact that the frame and underneath of my 2019 Keystone Cougar is covered by a layer of fabric and concealed, i had to use a 2x4 as a buffer between the stabilizer and frame. This was due to the shape of the portion of the stabilizer that contacts the frame/fabric. This didn't cause any issues with their intended purpose.

They work but not ideal!!
While they do help with trailer movement they are very difficult to adjust the design with it flopping around causing whole mechanism to fall to ground repeatedly. Top design requires a metal channel which all slide do not have.. ours has only skid plate so requires putting a thick piece of lumber in channel to not damage skid plate. Bottom foot support settles into ground easily to need 3 or 4 pressure adjustment after initial install. Campsites at state camp ground we visit do not have ideal or level sites so it is quite difficult to find sweep spot to get ideal support for slide out.

These jacks worked great for our slide-out. We were pleased with the merchandise and the shipping was fast.

Will this product damage the gear or teeth on the slideout
I have a toy hauler with one slideout
As long as the stabilizer is not over-torqued, no damage will occur to the slide out gears/mechanism.

Have seen this model with handle that swings down when not being used. is that a new style? if so, can those be purchased?
Yes, the 'new' style jack-in-a-box has a folding handle rather than a welded on handle as displayed in our product images. When SKU#11253 is ordered, the current model with the folding handle will be sent instead of the previous generation with the directly welded handle.

how many do you need for a 16ft travel trailer
Ideally, use a set(2) of the stabilizers per slide out. Increase the quantity to match the number of slideouts as this product is sold as 2 stabilizers per package.

Can this product be use to stabilize a pop up camper king size bed.
While not originally designed so. If height from the ground to the mattress is less than 34" and there is a solid piece of frame the stabilizer can press against, yes it can be used for this scenario.

How many per slide out?
If this comes in a 2 package set, can you use one per slide out in the middle of the slide out? Or do you have to have one support on each side of the slide out?
Ideally 2 of the stabilizers are used on a single slide out. Each 'Jack-In-A-Box' is placed as far as possible to the outside corner of the slide out room.
On smaller slide outs placing a single stabilizer in the center should work okay, but optimal performance requires 2 units regardless of room size.

Where do you attach them under the slide out?
We have 3 slide outs which stick out 39 away from the 30ft V-lite Flagstaff 2013 travel trailer. Trailer has a lot of bounce.
These supports are to be placed under the slide-out frame.

will they reach 31 in.
These adjust from 20" - 34" H.
Date published: 2019-03-08
Are these to be put on the slide-out arms, or on the frame?
These supports should be placed under the slide-out frame.
