Additional Information
Have you ever wished you could see your bikes from your rear view mirror as you tow your trailer down the road?

Now you can with the patented Jack-It® double bike carrier. The Jack-It’s innovative frame design installs over the tongue jack on the trailer’s A-frame, the softest riding area on the frame.

The adjustable wheel cradles and SwayStop straps secure the bike wheels to the bike carrier for a secure ride. The Jack-It allows travel trailer owners to utilize the valuable rear hitch/cargo space for additional gear and gives owners a new cargo utilization space.

PowerTower frame protects tongue jack from impact. Carries your bikes by the wheels for balance, stability and ease of use. Includes (2) SwayControl cradles, (2) Lockable NoMotion™ pins and (3) 3/8"-16 1-1/2" bolts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use Works great for our travel trailer. I didn't want a rack for the spare tire of the trailer or a bumper mounted rack because I have seen a lot of reviews where people have had to repair their trailer bumpers due to excessive weight breaking welded on bumpers, and you cant see them behind the camper. This bike rack works great getting your bikes out of the truck bed and you can still see them in your mirrors. I would recommend the Jack It bike rack to everyone that has a bumper pull trailer that takes their bikes with them everywhere like we do, fantastic design also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike carrier Easy to install, works great! It's a great solution for carrying 2 bikes. (Just make sure that there's enough clearance for your tongue jack!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend this Bike Rack Relatively easy to install. Putting on the bikes is at least a two person operation! Would recommend removing the peddles first to make installing the bikes easier and putting them back on when you get to your destination. The first time setup for your bikes takes time until you get everything setup on the rack then much easier to use. Held the bikes steady during transport and could watch them to be sure they stayed secure, which they did. Good plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nifty Bike Rack! We've used this bike rack a lot over the past few months. So far it's been great. For us, it does take two people to get the bike on the back (closest to trailer). And quite frankly, it's just easier to have two people load the one on the front as well. With that being said, it's worth it for the convenience of keeping the bikes up and out of the way. We can see them at all times while traveling which is also a great piece of mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Challenging to install; expect it to work well. Installation would have been easy if the wires to my tongue jack were long enough to actually remove it. After a bit of poking around and noodling, I removed the cover of the electrical box on the tongue where the wires went and by removing the strain relief bushing was able to pull more wire out so that I could remove the jack. I recommend checking this out before you get started. It would be helpful if the instructions gave some guidance on where to locate the brackets that hold the bikes. I couldn’t even find any YouTube videos that covered this. There was a lot of trial and error getting these located, each time loading and unloading the bikes which was exhausting. I now have it fully mounted and believe it will do the job well. Sadly our travel plans have been canceled due to the pandemic, so it may be a while before I get to road test it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bummed it didn't fit our trailer. We bought this item 2 weeks ago to solve our bike storing issues while we travel. Unfortunately, the component that goes over the trailer jack did fit. We needed it to be 2-3 inches taller. Make sure to measure the hieght of your jack before purchasing. Back to square one for us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jack it bike rack. A very nice rack. Well built and sturdy. A few hints at how best to position the wheel mounts would have made the process easier but eventually I got it. The tongue of the trailer is the best place to carry bikes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two different racks The box and web site show two different racks. One with a bar on top that comes down towards the jack and the other without that bar. The one I got had the bar and it doesn’t fit over the jack.

what is the clearance for the manual jack

Asked by: scottg
I'm not sure I understand the question but I do know there is only a couple of inches in-between my electric tongue jack and the jack-it frame. I'm not sure a manual jack would work in this application since the crack-handle would need to have more clearance to complete a revolution that what that the jack-it frame would allow. But I maybe wrong.

Will it hold a fat wheel bike?

Asked by: Mike
No, the cradle is too narrow to hold a a bike with fat wheels. However, this bike rack is originally designed by Let's Go Aero, and they offer separate wider cradles for fat wheels. This removable cradle design is used on all of their bike racks. You can replace the original units included with the Jack-It and replace them with the wider version from Let'sGoAero(liked below). https://letsgoaero.com/fat-bike-wheel-cradle-kit/

How is it installed? Does it needed to be welded onto the frame or more of a nuts & bolts kind of thing?

Asked by: Bill
It's installed with nuts and bolts, attaching to the tongue jack on the A-frame. <a href=https://www.lci1.com/assets/content/support/manuals/Storage%20and%20Convenience/Import_Bike_Rack_OEM_Installation_Manual.pdf>Here</a> is an installation manual for further detail.

How much weight is this bike rack rated for?

Asked by: Mike
The total product weight, per Lippert, is 25 pounds. The carrying capacity is two bicycles (about 30-35 pounds each for most adult bikes). I have seen an online description that claimed the item can support up to 80 pounds but do not recall which vendor claims that load rating.

what is the measurement for the trailer jack to fit in? How much room is there for your trailer Jack?

Asked by: spritnsky

Looking to purchase this bike carrier. I need to install it with the straight adapter on top not the angled. There is a picture of it in the above postings. Do you also sell the straight adapter?
