Does this sofa use a spring platform under the cushion like typical home furniture or is it just a cushion on a solid platform like the Jiffy Jackknife? Looking to determine which of the two would be more comfortable for sitting (couch position not bed).

Asked by: Josh
According to the manufacturer, there are no springs. Just a metal support with a cushion.

Can you run seatbelts through the center of the cushions?

Asked by: Black Pelican
Regarding seat belts, it is not made for seat belts by the way the cover is sewn. However, if someone didn’t mind the seat belts showing on either side of the unit (no arms), and then cut some small slits in the cover (completely undetectable) on the underside of the frame behind the center cushion it could be done. It would need to be done “unofficially” but it would work.

What is the distance between the floor and bottom of the couch?  Would you be able to put some containers under the couch for storage?  Like under the bed type.

Asked by: Mar36
The Slide Jack has a 7” space beneath the front steel bar that you could store items. Once you move something past the front metal frames, there is actually 9” from the underside to the floor.

Does the couch disassemble, so it can fit through the door on the RV ? What type of material is the covering on the couch ?

Asked by: Booger
The sofa does not disassemble because it's basically a jack knife. However, it does fold flat when opened to the bed position and easily fits through any size doorway. Both cover materials are the same faux leather vinyl, in colors chestnut and taupe.

Asked by: Rick

Are the legs removable? Can it be mounted on a wheel well?

Asked by: Mark
Yes, the legs are removable from the sofa so you can mount it directly to a platform. As for mounting on a wheel well, I can't say for sure as it really depends on the design, available space, and weight-bearing capability. You may need to consult with the manufacturer of the RV about the wheel well.

If you remove the legs and install this on a 10 inch platform, how high will the top of the back rest be from the floor? Thank you.
