How can i watch one channel while tapping another

    Asked by: unicorn
You will need a compatible, DVR model receiver(HR20, HR21, HR22, HR23, or HR24). Both outputs on the Quest antenna will need to be connected to both inputs on the receiver via coax. To watch and record a separate channel simultaneously, both channels will have to be beamed from the same satellite, otherwise the process will fail. This satellite antenna is only able to lock on to a single satellite at a time. It may be helpful to find a list of DirecTV channels with their assigned orbital satellite for reference so you do not have a watch & record conflict. Note: The King Quest is only able to receive SD programming from DirecTV Linked below is the owner's manual for the VQ4100 King Quest antenna. https://kingconnect.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/21961-Rev-F-VQ4100-Manual-06-08-17-COMPRESSED.pdf Refer to the owner's manual for the satellite receiver being used for detailed information on the channel guide interface and how to use the DVR function. Said manuals can be downloaded from DirecTV https://support.directv.com/equipment/3669

    Asked by: lane
The King Quest antenna is compatible with receiver models D10, D11, D12, H20, HR20, H21, HR22, HR23, H24 and HR24. Most of these receivers are HD units and are backwards compatible with SD programming.

do you have to aim satalite and does it have to be level

    Asked by: tripple D
No, the reflector dish inside the dome is automatic and can spin a complete 360 degrees so it does not have to be pointed a specific direction. The surface must be reasonably level for placement of the King Quest antenna.
