What is the small orange cell-like antenna attached to the unit for ?

Asked by: CaptainRalf
The orange antenna looking object is a snap retaining rod. When the actual latch is closed, the retaining rod is swung down to secure the latch. Then the included safety pin is inserted to further prevent the latch from accidentally opening or a padlock can be used in place of the pin to prevent theft. Linked below is a manufacturer video regarding installation of the mount plus demonstrates how the mount & latch operates. https://kingconnect.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/MB700-Installation.mp4

Can you drive with the satellite unit mounted in the roof mount? Will this work with the Tailgater Pro2? What hardware do I need to mount this on the roof?

Asked by: Roger T

Compatible Antenna Models: King Quest(VQ4100, VQ4200), King Quest Pro(VQ4800), Dish Tailgater(VQ4400, DT4400, VQ4500), Dish Tailgater Pro(VQ4900, DTP4900), King Tailgater(VQ4500), King One Pro(KOP4800) Appropriate fasteners and sealant(for weather proofing) will have to be determined by the installer.

is this compatible with the king DTP4950 Dish Tailgater?

Asked by: Charles
Yes, this mount is compatible with the Dish Tailgater Pro DTP4950 and DTP4900. Both numbers are for the same antenna model, the difference is that the 4950 is bundle with Wally receiver while the 4900 is just the satellite antenna.
