Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you’re full-time you got to get one of these! We live FT in our Moho and serve at some remote Christian camps were the WiFi can be pretty weak and/or far-away. I have been reluctant to purchase a booster because of the high cost, poor customer reviews and difficulty setting them up. When I saw this one on camping worlds site and the great reviews at a reasonable cost and a 15% discount which made it a lot cheaper them Amazon..".... I ordered one. It has been everything reviewers said from the ease of setup to function.... I can even stream on it!! Outstanding product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Bad... We bought this because our campground has a really weak wifi signal. The setup was very easy and quick. The signal seems to be ok sometimes and then other times not there. I definitely feel like it hasn't improved the wifi signal by much. So not overally satisfied with this on its own. We are going to try adding the swift antenna with it and see if that makes a difference. As for the customer service of this company, I have to say absolutely amazing! Will definitely use this company for our camping needs because of their customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Night and day I've used this at two different campgrounds; it has taken wifi which my devices that would constantly disconnect from due to weak signal to a 3 out of 4 bar connection that is quite useful. Won't speed up a SLOW network but does allow you to reach out and grab a far away signal. Also allows you to create your own network so everything from tablets to Smart TVs connect automatically, all you need to do is point the WiFiMax to the new wireless network. Note, I'm using this with the included antennas not through the pre-wired stuff my camper came with. It would be great to use a roof mounted antenna however I don't feel like drilling holes in my roof and this is working just fine. I've seen reviews online where the pre-wired setup doesn't make that much of a difference anyway.

What is the range of the booster? I have Xfinity at home and free Wifi Booster. Would I be able to connect to internet? What about my TMobile hotspot. Will it boost that signal?

Asked by: Steve
yes it will connect to the WIFI (Internet) - it takes a signal and will boost it, all in the settings

We use Fastwave at our campground. We are limited on the number of devices on our account. Will the wifimax allow an umlimited number of devices to connect to wifi?

Asked by: Mike
According to specs it will run up to 5 devices. I have personally only run two at any given time. It has good response time.

Does this device us the data on my phone

Asked by: Sandy
This is part of a cell phone range extender. It boosts the signal and sends it to this router so you can log on to your phone and use the internet and emails on your computer and phone. It will use the data from your phone

Anyone know how well this works while in transit? I.e. if passengers need to get on a webex while heading down the road does this seem to help out with connection?

Asked by: littlecamper00
If you are talking about getting consistent internet while driving on a road trip, no, your WiFi connections will keep disconnecting as the sources are going to change. This is for once you are stationary and need to get WiFi internet from a far distance away.

What is the range of this device?

Asked by: Richard
According to the manufacturer, it is difficult to give an exact range because a lot of things affect WiFi signal. The manufacturer does say that this is about 2x better than other products out in the market.

Can i locate this in my camper and pick up a very weak campground signal and boost the signal so my other devices will work?

Asked by: William52
Yes, the WiFiMax connects users to an existing Wi-Fi source at significantly further distances and at faster speeds than just using a phone or laptop. For the best performance, an external antenna is needed. King offers the Swift and WiFiMax combo kit, see SKU# 115867. One of the antennas is removed and replaced with the Swift external antenna which is ideally mounted to the roof of the RV. External antennas have better range than an antenna located inside an RV.

I'm not tech smart, sorry. I want to get this for my husband. If we are using my phone for our hot spot will this help get better reception?

Asked by: Carolyn
The WiFiMax is a product that helps you obtain signal from an existing public WiFi hot spot that would normally be difficult or out of range for a smart device or laptop to pick up on its own. A WiFi product like this can also be used to better share a cellphone based hotspot if its broadcast range is really short but need to provide further coverage inside an RV. On the other hand, see the cell signal booster kits like SKU#109124, #115766, or #119307 if you are wanting to increase the signal strength between the towers and the phone being used as a hotspot.
