The rod is made with one-piece, IM8 graphite blank construction that also incorporates Nano technology for increased strength and sensitivity that doesn't sacrifice weight. Guides are made with durable stainless steel frames and aluminum oxide inserts to allow for easy line flow and added toughness. Lew's-exclusive SoftTouch graphite skeletal reel seat increases sensitivity. Just like the handle knobs of the reel, the rod's split-grip handle features Winn advanced polymer Dri-Tac for long-lasting comfort. Also features a built-in trigger hook keeper.
The reel is built with Lew's new and exclusive Super Low Profile (SLP) design, using a graphite frame and side plates for lightweight strength. Machined and double-anodized, 32mm aluminum, U-shaped spool with double-anodized spool tension knob that has an audible click adjustment. Premium 10-bearing drive system with stainless steel, double-shielded ball bearings and Zero-Reverse, one-way clutch bearing for strong and reliable retrieves. Durable Rulon drag system for up to 10 lbs. of drag power, and anodized aluminum bowed drag star with audible click adjustment. Main gear and crank shaft made of solid brass for high-level strength and power. Externally adjustable Magnetic Control System (MCS) for fine-tuning your cast. Zirconia line guide and quick-release side plate lock lever. The bowed, lightweight, aluminum 95mm reel handle uses Winn advanced polymer Dri-Tac handle knobs for comfort to keep you going on the water.
